  • Installed and operational
Size: 1000W 2 AC Outlets
Not mush to say other than it works. I don’t know all the specs or how this differs from others but I know it was easy to install, it is currently still working fine and supports power to our TV and game system while Driving

  • You May Not Need a Generator if You Have This!
Size: 1000W 2 AC Outlets
We recently had a couple of minor tornadoes (if there is such a thing) race through North Atlanta, and it left us without power for 24-hours. It seemed like an eternity! I was very close to losing about $400 worth of food. I had an inverter that was rated at 275 watts, and tried to use it to power my freezer, but the initial power surge was too strong for too long for that inverter to handle it. So I bought this inverter with hopes of not only being able to occasionally power my freezer, but also possibly my main fridge in the kitchen during an extended outage. It was not only able to do both, but both at the same time, which is amazing. The freezer surges to 595W, and then after about 10 seconds drops to 125W where is just hums along. The refrigerator (25cu/ft Frigidaire) surges initially to 705W, and then after about 10 seconds drops to 205W continuous. I measured all of this using a Kill-A-Watt device. I attached the freezer first and waited until it was only drawing 125W, then attached the fridge. I did this while the inverter was attached directly to my car battery with my car running. When I attached the fridge, the car sounded like it was going to stall, but it recovered and powered everything nicely. In the event of an actual outage, I would probably just power each appliance individually for 30 minutes or so every 4 hours to keep things cold. I like knowing that this unit provides enough power to be able to handle either appliance, plus run an LCD TV, or some lights, etc. Great inverter at a great price. If you're struggling with whether to buy a portable gas generator so that you're prepared for extended outages, this unit may prevent you from having to do that. It obviously won't do everything a generator can, but it's a lot cheaper, and can handle a lot of the basics. ... show more

  • MADE IN CHINA
Size: 1000W 2 AC Outlets
With limited use, I found this product performs well. But it is MADE IN CHINA. Products made in China do not conform to US safety standards. Use at your own risk.

  • Cheap insurance.
Size: 1000W 2 AC Outlets
Don't have solar? Don't have a stand alone generator? Well this inverter is the next best thing. Last time the electricity went out in my neighborhood I was the most popular guy on the block, hooking this up to my neighbors cars every six hours to save the stuff in the fridge. Now, than goodness, they all have one of these and so should you. Don't trust the grid and don't let your car go below half tank and get an inverter like this one. Very simple to use and if you want, you can use it to watch TV and run a few lights too. ... show more

  • Nice inverter
Size: 1000W 2 AC Outlets
Good inverter but I was disappointed to find that it didn’t come with the other cords that the same exact inverter I ordered came with.? Had to go on Amazon and order the cigarette lighter to inverter cord.

  • Running strong for seven years!
Size: 1000W 2 AC Outlets
I'm finally reviewing this 1000W inverter after 7 years of reliable service! I've left this thing outside just under an awning for the last few years and it's been completely soaked and covered in snow more than once (northern Michigan). I just set it next to the wood stove for a bit and it's fine. I know I've been doing it wrong, but dang this thing really is a trooper! ... show more

  • Danger ! Plus shorted to Case - maybe series defect
Size: 1000W 2 AC Outlets
Just got the second one of these inverters, I ordered the second one because I like the silence and the format. I did run the first one for a couple of days to power my 10 cubic refrigerator, it worked perfect. But I had it laying on the carpet of the Motorhome. So it was insulated. Then I decided to mount it permanent in the battery bay on the metal wall, I didn't disconnect the battery cables as I moved the inverter, as soon as the inverter touched the metal wall , sparks and lot of it. Then the battery cable started melting As I'm a electrician I started investigating, I opened the housing and looked, nothing to see, everywhere pretty much clearance, to the case. So measured different points, and as I removed the front plate (the plate where the battery connections are) the short to the case disappears. So I double-checked and it seems like the pole where the battery lead is screwed on, is connected to the metal plate where it is sitting on. Very dangerous construction, there is no fuse which is helping you. So I ordered a replacement from Amazon, it arrived fast. But the replacement has exactly the same failure !! Plus shorted against case. I really like the inverter, it is quiet and has good power. If the quality would be not this dangerous it could get more stars. ... show more

  • I read great reviews on this but mine just ain't cutting it
Size: 1000W 2 AC Outlets
I had originally wrote a not so good review because the one I received would only handle 300 wwatt then Tripp out. Aft er review I was contacted by customer service and explained problem and my test on the inverter and they sent me another one in about 5 or 6 days and when I fired up the new one I went through my same ritual and it handle both my 300 watt bulbs with no problem so I stepped it up to two 500 watt bulbs and it still held fine never really even got warm so then for my ultimate test I pplug in my fridge and it fired right up so I thought well that worked so well I try a second fridge at the same time and it also fired right up with know problem but of coarse started draining battery pretty fast so I put my battery charger on the battery to keep it charged during my testing cycle. I ran the rrefrigerator for hours and of coarse the would satisfy and cycle on and off which would not be duchess a big draw on battery at that time. I was running on a 900 amp deep cycle battery with battery charger hooked to it to keep it charged and did this for hours on end with know problems at all. I don't know if either fridge ever went into a defrost cycle during my test but it held in there just fine. So with this new one I would have to say I would recommend it 1000 percent I actually put more than 1000 watts on it at times and it just kept plugging along so I'm tickled to death with it now and great customer service says alot. Buy one you will definitely be satisfied with this converter it does what it says plus some. ... show more
