    • Wrapping brush piles for fish habitat.

I create large brush piles from evasive honeysuckle, pull the piles tight with a ratchet strap, then wrap this electric fence wire around it, tie it off and release the ratchet strap. This wire and nylon is so thin but I have yet to break it and in fact it is fairly difficult to cut without a good pair of side cutters / nippers. So while I’m not using it to put up an electric fence it’s perfect for creating bound brush piles for fish habitat. ... show more

Fence is great. But the tag end was not marked and when I did try and unwind it it was a mess. Holds my hogs in just fine tho.

We've had this snap in a few places. Of course you can just tie it off and keep going and it works fine, but be warned, it is a bit thinner and can snap. Would not suggest for cattle or horses probably. But it works for our pigs. Not disappointed since we paid half the amount my parents paid.

    • Hard to find beginning of wire.

I'm not rating overall features, just my initial reaction to finding the start of wire. Like everyone stated, it's very hard to find the beginning. How easy would it be to add some colored tape at the beginning. Fortunately I lucked up and found it. You will need some good light and reading glasses. If you have one of those magnifying lights you look through, even better. So when I took off the plastic and paper wrapping, one end of the reel seemed fatter than the opposite side. This is your reference point. My end started at the 4th wire from edge. If you rotate the reel you will see the wire sink deeply into the reel. Stick a flat bladed tool gently under that wire and lift straight up. You know it is the right one if it comes up easily. I might come back and give it another review after I install. ... show more
