This desk is so sturdy and so well made. I am so happy I chose this one. It was a beast to put together, but in two days we had it up. The desk tops are extremely heavy though and we had to have 2 more people come over to help us with those. So 4 people total for the super heavy flipping things upright. It was well worth the effort though. This is a very sturdy desk and it makes my home office so beautiful. The under side of the desk is very spacious. I store our bottles of water and dog crate on one side. And the garbage and printer set up on the other side. All UNDER the desk. Out of sight. It’s amazing! Worth every penny. The desk came and the boxes was not damaged. However, once I opened the boxes there were several pieces of the desk that were damaged. The desk is of poor quality. The desk's center piece doesn't even connect tightly to the two surrounding pieces. I don't recommend buy this item. I will be asking for a partial refund of my money because of the damage product. ... show more

    • Good quality, great price, confusing instructions

The desk is good quality and def worth every penny, would buy it again. I did have some concerns but for full disclosure I have not contacted amazon or the manufacturer for replacement so cant comment on customer service. 1 panel was scratched and 1 had a slight crack. I didnt contact the manufacturer because I needed a desk to work on urgently and did not want to wait for replacement. I built it myself, took about 8-10hours (while watching netflix). But did need 1 more person to help me put the parts on the right position and lifting the hutch. Although the little stickers they provide to cover up the nails and metal are useless they gave me a headache to insert and I think thats what took the most time. Having said that, because of the quality of the material, the sturdiness, the price and aesthetics I would recommend it and buy it again myself. I would love it if the manufacturer (1) included better building instructions, (2) the stickers to cover up the metal are better made, (3) provide an amazon option to get professional help building the desk, i would have paid to have it built rather than investing my time ... show more

    • BEST ready-to-assemble desk I've ever owned

I've put together quite a few RTA desks over the years, and this Bestar desk was, by far, the easiest, nicest, and best looking desk I have ever owned/assembled. All of the pieces came carefully packed, with no scratches or dents, and were labeled clearly to match the instructions. Everything fit together without fuss, and their assembly pins were awesome, they are not the screw-in type but instead an expansion pin that you can insert with your fingers. The tops are beautiful, and are edge-banded with a very thick and sturdy material that will hold up over time. I purchased the "U" shaped desk with the white top and it looks awesome in my home office. I cannot overstate how happy I am with this desk! I assembled the entire desk by myself and only needed assistance to lift the hutch up and on top of the back portion of the desktop. I also drilled an additional grommet hole in the back top to allow for electric/data cables that I needed. I highly recommend this desk... ... show more

    • Low Grade Laminate Furniture

I read the reviews of this product before purchase and knew that this was going to be a laminate product and not the kind of high quality product one would find at a furniture store. The product arrived in 3 boxes on a pallet delivered by a freight company. One of the three boxes was damaged, but there was minimal damage to the contents. Assembly was straightforward, but the design of the main desk is very poor. You have a number of components that have to be carefully connected in order to avoid damaging the wood. They give you these interlocking pieces that are often too small to firmly seat into the pre-drilled holes and they easily fall out if you aren't careful. Because of this, many of the pieces don't tightly combine together, which will make moving the product very delicate to say the least. The laminate material is low quality except on the main surfaces, which use a higher grade laminate. The instructions warn that moisture and direct sunlight, in addition to excessive touch will damage the product. If you don't have a lot of experience assembling pre-fab furniture, you'll find the instructions lacking in terms of detail. There are two different instruction guides; one for left-hand setup and the other for right-hand setup. They are not easily discernible. I had to order some replacement screws and one replacement panel due to damage to the drawers. The manufacturer website doesn't list all of the parts for replacement, only some. I will update this once the parts arrive to let you know how the support experience turns out. Overall, I give this product a poor rating on quality. For a few hundred dollars more, I could've purchased something much higher quality from an online competitor or furniture store. If you don't plan on moving this AT ALL, it will probably last you a good 2-3 years of heavy use before needing to be replaced. ... show more

Its not bad for thick particle board it is seriously heavy and takes 2 people to build it comes in 3 boxes weighing 350lbs fairly sturdy the edge finish could be better hardware is good quality once built you cant push it or the feet will break cam bolt construction is ok but i glue the joints to make it more sturdy its quite large good for home office but i wouldn't buy it for a professional office setting it has 2 drawers and a small cabinet in the middle not 3 drawers directions could be better but you can figure it out for the most part $900 is a bit pricy i wouldn't have bought it but its what she wanted ... show more

Horrible instructions, very hard to get the hang of Also the drawers did not have the premade holes like the rest of the structure. Also if you decide you want to send it back, you pay for shipping. Which for me was going to be $160 each box. I got rid of it horrible purchase!
