Since we had Spring in February already and now winter has returned, I haven't actually had much opportunity to enjoy these yet. I'm having a new patio installed though and maybe the warmth will return soon and I'll enjoy my back yard in style. I bought two of these chairs and put them together by myself. I'm a 5'4", not overly large woman and I tell you, you can do it by yourself but at times I thought I might fail. Especially at the end when I had to lift the seat portion up over my head to clip it into the base. If you can do this with help it will be easier. Also, don't rush through the installation like I did. Take your time, look at your pieces and get a picture in your head of which parts these are. The instructions aren't nice detailed instructions to help you know which direction pieces should be facing or anything. They just say attach A to B using bolt III so take your time or you'll be redoing parts of it. Also, I read a prior review that was full of info on rusting and other things so I sprayed all my parts with rustoleum before assembling and sprayed all joints again and scratched areas post assembly. I was not happy with the number of pieces that arrived already scratched but I'm over it already. I also sprayed the cushions with waterproofing spray ahead of time. LOVE this chair! Put it together by myself... weaving the seat onto the frame took the longest time of any task. Completed in about 2 hrs. Putting the sunshade on by myself was a bit difficult, the rest was really easy. If working by yourself, I recommend when putting the lounge seat frame together hanging it BEFORE adding part H - this cuts down on the weight of the seat and makes it easier for 1 person to hang. The instructions are enough to go by but as other people mentioned - it doesn't give much on the way of which bolts to use. I liked the suggestion by another person to use a bungee cord to keep it from swinging all over in the wind. Not sure why some people mention that its difficult to get in and out of the chair. If you are a very short person or if you have physical difficulties this is NOT the chair for you, otherwise getting in and out shouldn't be a problem. Due to the warnings about the seat getting wet I covered it with a clear plastic 55 gal garbage bag when it rained. Came out of the box without any issues with the paint - no rust. I live in a dry climate but I'll hit it with some rustoleum if needed. have had lots of complements on the lounger as it sits on my front deck. ... show more

First off, much better quality than I expected for the price, instructions suck, it's cool looking, super iffy to get in and out of, comfortable, takes a while to put together. There's the pros and cons, the only thing I really don't like about it is the angle you sit at when your in it. The pictures show your feet elevated but it doesn't sit like that unless your uncomfortably sitting straight up..... And it's uncomfortable to sit in it straight up. Laying down in a more reckoned position the whole thing tilts toes down and it just isn't as comfortable as it could be. Still a nice swing/ seat and groovy looking. ... show more

It took two of us to put it together but it was a fun project! It took maybe the total of an hour. It's very nice! I sprayed mine with Rustoleum that i had left from spraying my outdoor firepit as other reviewed suggested because mine came with plenty of scratches in the paint and the ends were obviously not coated. Plus the end caps are not tight, so i figured it's best to catch it now because you never know with Houston weather. So it was the black colored spray but it doesn't mess up the look at all as you can see. I am 200+ lbs and it doesn't feel like it will break at all. I don't leave the padding on it at all when I'm not in it. It is comfy and is the perfect height for a 2-2.5'table to sit next to you with your drink or books on! Add'l: the water does pool on the seated portion of the swing when it rains. This is another reason I'm glad i read the reviews because the cushion would be sitting in puddled water if so. Whenever I want to sit in it and relax, I tilt it and put the water off and attach the cushion, which I'd not complicated at all. The shade doesn't do much for it so I always have my 9' umbrella & stand nearby. ... show more

The chair I received was impossible to assemble. When I say impossible I don't mean hard to assemble I mean that the parts that the instructions showed to be put together could not be joined because the bolt holes in the frame were incorrectly stamped/drilled, not aligned, so you couldn't pass the bolt through both parts to bolt them together. There was also another part that had a welded bracket attached. the bracket was poorly welded, not squared, so when assembled one leg was off the floor when the other one touched. Until this vendor gets some sort of quality control system in place they will continue receive returns at unacceptable company killing levels. I need to add that when the box arrived it looked like, I have pictures if interested, it had broken open and been taped back together. The foam packing material was heavily damaged and the box was unusable for the return to vendor. I was forced to buy a $40 bicycle shipping box to return the item. Amazon if your listening I haven't been able to find a link to a place where I can request a refund for that $41.65 box. Please advise. ... show more
