    • Best Choice - Wood Potting Bench with Wheels
Positives: For a relatively low to mid-priced wood potting bench, this bench is a fairly good value. It has a good amount of usable space, and the height of the work table (about 37" with the wheels on) makes it much easier on your back when working. You do have to assemble it yourself, but unlike many DIY assembly products, this bench comes with a large multi-page instruction\assembly manual with step-by-step instructions and illustrations. Also, the parts are clearly numbered and labeled, and none were missing. It is a bit awkward and challenging to assemble it alone - I did so, but it took a couple of hours - because as you proceed along with the assembly, there are points where you really could use an extra pair of hands to hold the unit as you screw it together. (If you had an woodworking table and wood clamps that would make it easier - but most of us don't ...) Some owners suggested having a drill to pre-drill to prevent the wood splitting and\or chipping. That probably would be a good idea - I did not use a drill, but tried to be very careful about placement and pressure when screwing the pieces together. (I did have a couple of minor split-outs). The idea of having a concealed plastic tub for potting plants is a good one. The bottom shelf is high enough so you can store something like a bag of potting soil underneath the unit - useful if you have the unit on a deck, and want to utilize floor space. Negatives: The sliding top on the worktable can be sticky - it does not really move freely and easily. It functions by having two small side dowels run along an inside track to enable the two top pieces to move to the side. I strongly suspect I will end up having to sand down those dowels a bit to make them smaller, as I think they are a tad too large for the track. As for its appearance, the bench is fine, but it is not a high-end bench - therefore, you can see the screw heads - there were no dowels to cover the screw heads. Unknowns: Since I just purchased this potting bench, I cannot comment upon how durable it will be over the long run. The wood is light weight. ... show more

    • Very Nice Bench
Shortly after her birthday in February, my wife indicated that for the next present-buying occasion - our anniversary - she would like a potting bench. I let that germ of an idea doze for almost 5 months. When the time came, I looked at several potting benches on Amazon and finally decided on the Best Choice Products Outdoor Mobile Garden Potting Bench. It had good features, and the reviews were positive. The bench arrived much more quickly than expected (and almost ruined the surprise, as my wife had forgotten that she had asked for one). Assembly was easy; the pieces are well-labelled and the instructions made sense. I took the advice of some other reviewers and drilled guide holes after pairing and clamping the pieces together. All the pieces matched and went together as expected. Assembly took me around an hour. In the end, my wife was well pleased, and she has been proudly showing her new potting bench off to visitors, and has been using it, too. Mission accomplished! ... show more

Actually pretty nice. Had a couple nicks but not a game changer.seems like a good size as well. Easy to assemble but there are no pilot holes into the pieces you are attaching to. Would be 5 stars if it did.

I was very surprised by how well built this was. Most other options for a table were not very sturdy, having either bolts or screws to assemble. This one is bolted and also screwed tight. If i were to make one from scratch, this is exactly how I would have built it. The wheels are also high quality with bearing that move smoothly. Dollar for dollar, this is probably the best on Amazon sells. The height is perfect, not like the very short ones that are for sale. I'm 5'9" and the tabletop goes just above my belly. Yes it is more expensive that other ones for sale, but i can see this one last many many years. I did put two coats of sealer for protection from the environment just to be sure. It does come stained, but not sealed. ... show more

Needs 2 people to assemble. Best to have a power drill but not a requirement. Directions were simple. It was well organized when coming out of the box. It’s the right amount of sturdy and some for what it cost. I will for sure cover it in the winter. I’m happy with this purchase!

    • Incorrect wrench, split wood while screwing and the potting sink kinda sucks
got this right on time and the packaging was great in addition to the actual instructions detailed in the assembly manual. The pictures are very clear as to what needed to be done and despite some issues assembling... I'm very happy with the end result, as the table is sturdy and gorgeous. I knocked off a star for 3 reasons: A) the wrench provided is too big for the actual bolt sets, so make sure you have a smaller one on hand. B) probably best to use a powerdrill over a phillips on account of lack of holes. While there ARE pre-drilled holes for the screws, they're only for the insertion point, meaning you're basically creating a new hole to whatever you're screwing together, which made it super tedious to screw these in with my phillips screwdriver because it was a pain in the butt to keep they straight and perfectly aligned. C) The Potting Sink really blows. For one thing, I would've preferred a metal sink, but the fact that that the rim of the sink is so big, it makes it VERY difficult to slide the table pieces closed over it. I nearly broke the wood trying to close the right side (and gave myself a splinter). After some frustration, I was able to enclose the sink under the sliding pieces, but because it was so difficult, I've decided not to slide the right side for fear of not being able to get it closed. In conclusion, for the price, I'm still pretty pleased with this potting table, as it's a far cry above my plastic garden cart. ... show more

packaged very well. NO missing parts. EASY to assemble. wife loves it. parts/hardware all labled well. don't know what kind of wood it's made of ? (soft wood of some sort) ? i sprayed it wth poly too protect better.wheels are well made and lock easy/good. a helper would ease the assembly while screwing together. easy with a battery drill to put together. ... show more
