*** Thank you to everyone who did reviews of this product and recommended sealing the seams on the inside of this box. I followed that advice and I'm very glad I did. It makes it much easier to clean the inside and keeps any possible mess contained. *** I purchased this litter box about 3 weeks ago and it arrived within days instead of the expected week. That was very nice! :) It gave me something to do on a boring quarantine day! :) So I pulled it all out of the box and read over the instructions. All pieces were present and in perfect shape. The instructions were so clear and easy to follow, I was shocked! I was able to put it together by myself with very little struggle and everything fit together as it should. I purchased this because I have two cats, a male and a female. The male loves to leap out of the litter box when he's done and sling kitty litter everywhere. We had just moved to a nice new apartment that didn't exactly have a convenient spot for a litter box that would keep it out of the way...so finding this item was perfect! Once it was all done, I used a sealer on the inside to seal up all the seams and keep the inside watertight for potential messes (alot of reviews recommended this and they weren't wrong!). After letting it sit and dry for 24 hours, it was ready to set up for the cats. I had a large covered litter box that, after removing the cover, fit inside the bench just fine with extra room left over. My female cat sat and watched me the entire time and knew as soon as it was put into place that it was for her and instantly went inside to check it out! :) Kitty approved! My male, who is slightly larger, didn't care for it much for the first week and pooped outside of it in protest, but now uses it just fine. It is plenty big enough for him, he's just a picky boy. Since it is recommended that you don't use this as an actual bench because it may not hold up to the weight, I can say that it has been sat on and doesn't even creak so it is very sturdy (could definitely hold a child) but still not really meant to be a seat. It's kinda low to the ground anyway so it looks like a child's bench. To keep anyone from sitting on it, I simply have the cat's food and water bowl on top and the kitties love that, too. I have a laundry/mud room that this sits in and the white goes well with my washing machine/dryer and the white trim. Everyone that has looked at it has commented on how cute of a bench it is and everyone has been surprised to find that it's a litter box! Bottom line: This product is easy to put together, very well made, and is an attractive way to hide your litter box. The little entryway room inside definitely cuts back on the scattering of kitty litter and has made my clean up much easier. It is easy to clean the interior when a mess has been made (BE SURE TO USE THE SEALER TRICK...IT WILL KEEP IT WATERTIGHT AND MAKE YOUR CLEAN-UP QUICKER AND EASIER!) and will hold even a large litter pan for multiple cats. I put this together myself except for the top and front doors. As it turned out, I received 2 left doors instead of a left and a right. I contacted the company and they are shipping the missing door. I am very happy with this purchase. It does a very good job of keeping my litterbox out of site, while still allowing my kitties easy access to their box. You can build this so that the inner wall is closer to the door, providing an antechamber which can reduce litter debris on your floor. Or you can put that inner wall nearer the closed side, creating a storage space for litter package, scoop, etc. My kittens get a bit enthusiastic with their scratching (or perhaps I should say scooping) and often throw litter all over inside, so the antechamber can help keep that inside. Whenever I open the cabinet to scoop the box, i can easily sweep in loose litter and add it back into the box. ... show more

I didn't assemble it myself, so I can't speak to that, but it didn't take my husband very long to do even with the "help" of our 1 yo. It's everything I hoped / expected. The size was right - not too big, not too small, spacious top. (While I wouldn't mind it being a little taller, it was not smaller or shorter than I expected, reviews did it justice). It compares well with our other mid-range assemble yourself furniture, so I'm happy about the quality. It's sturdy and clean, and quite honestly even exceeded my quality expectations. We don't use the inner wall as our Breeze litter system is just too big for it, but our kitten immediately took to it! Now you'd never know her litter is in our living room. (It will be even more incognito once we set it up in it's final position - we left the hole side more obvious for our kitten while she adapts). I'm very well pleased with this purchase, it was exactly what we were looking for!     • Assembly somewhat easy - use a electric screwdriver or drill - save yourself A LOT of time

Good product, wish it was a bit taller. Looks really nice, I'm a woman & I put it together myself. However, it took a few hours as I didn't have an electric screwdriver or drill. Caulked the inside as others suggested & bought puppy pads to put under the litter box. As others stated & I forgot to do, DO NOT INSTALL the interior panel if you have a large litter box, it won't fit & you have to take the top portion apart to remove the partition. Frustrated that when I got to the last step of installing the doors, the left side didn't have pre-drilled holes for the hinges. This really sucks because I brought my rescue kitty home today & & I have a piece of unfinished furniture. I will have to figure that out on my own, not going to return it, it's too much of a hassle. This turned out better than I hoped for! The wood is sturdy and good quality. It was really easy to assemble and the instructions were excellent and easy to follow. There is plenty of room for the cat pan and the cat to enter and exit. I also really like the compartment on the side, it holds a small bag of food perfectly. I placed our cat food and water dish on top and it works out great. It’s so sturdy even my toddler can climb on top and the piece doesn’t move. It’s very sturdy. ... show more
