For the price, I feel like this table set is the best value. Similar tables in this price point are made out of MDF composite whereas this table is made out of rubber wood and that was a big factor in my decision making as MDF composite slow releases chemicals over time. The table itself has a nice weight and doesn’t feel cheap like say, Main Stay brand or Room Essential brand furniture. The chairs are a beautiful cream color. It did have some slight staining when it arrived but I was able to wipe those off. An important note and main reason for this review is to address the assembly. My worry with this purchase were the other reviews and their difficulties putting together the chairs. While I did encounter those obstacles I built everything by myself quite easily and I’m not a hugely crafty person. I will list them below in order for future buyers to not be intimidated: -“dowels being too large for their pre drilled holes” you can hold the dowel in front of the hole and push it in a bit. It will not slide in even if you force it with your hands. Instead use a hammer to gently get it inside the hole, leaving 1/2in of the dowel sticking out. -“there are no pre drilled holes under the cushions” and “the screws are not long enough” at first glance it seems like the screws are not long enough to reach thru the chair holes and into the bottom of the cushion. I put my assembled chair frame upside down on my couch with the cushion fitted under. There are chalk marks under the cushion as well to guide where the frame should sit. Drop the screws in and let them fall into the pre drilled holes. Use a long Phillips screw driver to reach in and with another hand clamp the frame and cushion together firmly and screw. The wood under the cushion is soft enough that the tip of the screw will dig in and fasten itself after a few turns. Hope this review helps anyone thinking of buying this table or has already purchased and can’t assemble it. I took off 1 star only because the upholstery is “stain resistant” and comes with a disclaimer that the chemicals used for this purpose is considered toxic. ... show more

The product fit beautifully into our space, but as others mentioned the instructions aren’t very clear for fixing the chairs. My two cents try to make sure all the larger holes face downwards for the bottom part of the chair. Once we figured how to fix one chair rest were easy. its been two months since i bought this dining set and i love it. i was hesitant to buy it because of all the reviews about how hard it is to assemble but i did buy it anyway. and the assembly was really just straight forward you really just have to assemble the chairs by how the set came with, be mindful about the letters if it isn’t upside down then you are doing it right, the screws to attached for the cushions are made for it to hold the chair that is why there’s no need for a hole. i never used any power tools at all. and the cushions are so easy to clean up, i have a 22 months old who seat with the booster and of course it’s quite very messy but i just clean it with towel and warm water and everything cleans up very well. i am satisfied with this purchased. ... show more

This is dining room set is the best thing I’ve ever purchased from Amazon. Sturdy, looks good! I took a star off for assembly, the chairs are a nightmare to put together, it took me two days well worth it though.

4 chairs do not fit under this table. 3 chairs do not properly fit under this table. 2 chairs works best. We will need to use 3 chairs instead of 4. The wood material the chairs and table are made of scratch VERY easily. We barley bumped something across one of the wooden legs and it made a scratch on it. After using the table with dinnerware and utensils, scratches have already appeared and become noticeable. This may be an ok dining set for a young college student since it’s a price point product but it is not quality design and build. I like the final product. But to put those chairs together was something else, once you make the 1st one you can notice that the holes don't go all the way through to keep together the seat, so I'd recommend go with the screws all the way and take them back, before you actually have to put the seat on (This is the last step) Once you have the holes ready is easier to go through, when you feel you got the seat don't screw it too much because it could get loose. Happened once I had to use a wider and loger screw and problem solved (Don't use one too long because it could go through the fabric).
