  • works great
tried this thing out yesterday - must say it was great in holding my chainsaw to be sharpened - used the soft grips that were suggested to go along with it - worked perfect paired up that way - wish I had found this earlier - thanks !!

  • It is HEAVY, lol!
I got it for a workbench I plan to build in my garage but I think it needs it's own stand built from 2" X 4"s! I think it will probably hold anything I put in the jaws, but I haven't actually used it yet so I don't truly know, that's why the four stars.

  • Great little 6" vise
This is an awesome little 6" vise for a home shop. It's not what you're going to want in a pro fab shop or anything, but for a home workbench or something, it's perfect. It solid, well built and can easily do what 99% of people are going to need it to do. You wont be bending 1/4" steel plate with it or anything, but it's good for normal home usage. I was able to get a frozen bolt out of a brake caliper using this with no issues. For the money, I have zero regrets with this purchase. ... show more

  • Wiggly base
Seemingly solid build quality but the base wiggles left and right which could definitely be a dealbreaker for some projects.

  • Good vice, jaws hold items tight.
This is a good vice. I can't say it's the best vice I have but it is good for most projects I work on. This vice comes with a mount that can be attached to it so mount it to an edge of a table, in my case it was a saw horse. The vice function relatively smoothly after cleaning and oiling. It feels sturdy where you can put some power behind holding items. The teeth alignment is better than expected. It feels like it would hold across the teeth vs one side having more crushing power.. The jaw height I would say it is a bit more thinner in surface area than my other vices. The pipe jaws under the teeth is great, but due to location it won't hold large piping, but likely it would be good enough size unless your dealing with large piping. The anvil side of the vice is so so. I probably only use it with softer metals or plastics. Over all this is a good vice that I like being able to set up easily and put away afterwards. ... show more

Robust build and sturdy design make it an essential tool for any DIY enthusiast or professional. The quality and performance of this vice are top-notch, and it can handle a wide range of tasks with ease. If you're in search of a reliable and heavy-duty vice that's built to last, this one is a must-have. Highly recommended for its durability and the versatility it adds to your workbench! ... show more

  • Great for armory bench
I have a vice in the garage that is bolted to the workbench. I needed something for my armory bench that was more maneuverable. I didn’t need the strongest heavy duty vice in existence. I can say it is capable of abuse far beyond what I use it for. Mainly I use it for assembling, disassembling and cleaning. I also need it to be easily moved around the bench edge depending on the space I need for that particular scenario. The finish is nice and shows no wear so far, though I’m not beating on it. It swivels smoothly and is easy to tighten and loosen to move it up and down the bench. It’s actually the ideal vice I need for what I needed it for. ... show more

  • Great vice at a fraction of the cost!
I don't own many vices and honestly, I'm just getting started building out my workshop. But, this vice is more than adequate for my purposes. Currently, I have it mounted on the swivel base, but there is nothing preventing you from mounting it directly to the bench top. In fact, I'd recommend that. The swivel base is not as useful and has less range than you'd imagine. As mentioned in other reviews, cranking down on the pin for the swivel base can bend that pin. Once I find a nice final resting place for this vice, I'm going to permanently mount it to a surface. I highly recommend this vice for a permanent installation, but is certainly usable on the swivel base. ... show more
