    • Solid, but a couple key flaws

Overall, I like the bag, but not enough to keep it. It’s a good looking bag, the material choices are great, and the size is ideal for short trips. I love that it doesn’t look like a hiking or military bag, and it’s sized well for daily use too. The pockets at the very top and the top of the main compartment are perfectly sized for small items, and very convenient to access. My biggest issues are the straps, the lack of structure, and some of the auxiliary pockets. The straps are way too thin for a bag of this size, and definitely need to be wider. The lack of structure makes things easy to fit, but things flop around inside very easily if it isn’t packed to the brim. The bag sags easily and doesn’t stand up on its own, so just a bit more structure would be ideal. Lastly, the front pocket and the side water bottle pockets are next to useless for most things. The former is this weird mix between too big and too small for most items, and the latter can’t fit anything thicker than a juicebox. It’s a bag that would be absolutely perfect with a bit more thought given to the fine details, so I really want to see what a V2 would look like. ... show more

This backpack is worth it but there could be some better options from bellroy depending on what your looking for. I personally preferred the smaller size of the transit workpack but I bought this one specifically because it had the sternum strap, making it more secure on my motorcycle. This one is much bulkier which allows it to store more but as a college student it’s not necessary. Also, the straps are too small and it’s most notable when you fill up the backpack all the way. Otherwise it’s not very bad when carrying a normal load. For traveling it will hold a decent amount of stuff and the way it opens makes it easy to pack, but bellroy’s duffel would fit more and be more comfortable for anything more than an overnight stay IMO. The laptop pocket is a good size and for reference it could just barely fit my Acer predator Helios 300 (not comfortably). When raining I noticed nothing inside my bag got wet either. QC must’ve missed this but one of the zipper pulls was loose and fell out one day, fortunately customer service was amazing and immediately sent me a replacement. I received it a week after contacting them and they replied to my email overnight! Overall the bag is great and I don’t regret buying it despite the high price tag. I can also stay relaxed knowing if something goes wrong customer service is easily accessible. ... show more

First off I don’t write many reviews but after searching for the perfect backpack for a few months I finally settled on the Bellroy transit backpack. I use it for an everyday carry to the office and gym. I also traveled with it recently and was the perfect carry on. It’s extremely well made , solid materials and is the perfect size (for me). Only thing I would improve is to make the 2 hidden water bottle pockets a touch bigger or add stretch to accommodate a larger size bottle. ... show more
