This unit, designed to toast thicker, sliced bagels does bread as well and will reheat previously toasted items, without further browning. Load the cut sides of the bagel towards the middle heating elements. They get get hotter and toast darker than the ones on the outside, so the exterior of the bagel doesn't burn. This toaster is pretty and very shiny. It does not toast very well. You have to push the bread down twice at the highest setting and the slots seem too short as the top half inch of bread does not toast at all. I would not buy this brand again.

The last two toasters I've purchased were awful - on the lowest setting they burned the toast. This one is a normal toaster, thank goodness. The toast comes out perfect every time. Plus, it matches my kitchen - it's quite cute. Glad I bought it.

If you looking for a toaster to use once in awhile, it works. It’s light and nice looking. But if you have larger peices of the standard bread it doesn’t fit long way. I have no room on my counters, so I’ll pull it out if I need it. Heats pretty good, but I’ve had better. Easy to use
