My daughter is a beginner and has already made good progress bc it is very sturdy and a smooth ride. I all so like that it came with tools. My daughter just recieved this item for Christmas so I can't say how it will hold up over time but it seems as though it will be just what she needs. The skateboard is a good quality, made very well, and is the perfect length for our grand daughter age 8. The helmet and pads were also very good and fit our young granddaughter perfect. They are comfortable and do not slip up or down, she really likes them. The pink helmet was awesome and fits well. She will enjoy skating and be safe while doing it. I wanted to pick up a skateboard to teach myself and my sister a new sport since we are still in lockdown. Looked at my local shops (online stores) and other websites, and this is the best value skateboard I could find. Didn't expect much for the price, but I couldn't be happier, this is an amazing board. My sister liked it so much she claimed it for herself, and I had to buy another one. Also, the artwork is dope. Update: 3 months after use there seems to be something wrong with a wheel on one of the boards, because it would stray to the left when trying to go straight. I'm not a skater so I went by research here on Amazon and also by the fact that my granddaughter wanted pink or purple. It seems that there are many options and the quality varies widely but it looked like this was a good one for a 6 year old just starting. I was very pleasantly surprised when at the birthday party where we gave this to my granddaughter her aunt who is a skater said it was a very nice quality and much nicer board than a beginner needs. She completely approved so I was very happy about that as she typically shops at a skate shop and pay a lot more.
