I've gone through a LOT of brands of compression socks and was told by my doctor to try brands like Jobst or go to a medical supplier. Would you believe the super expensive ones, for how much wear I put on my compression wear, lasted FAR less than these??? These are very well made, last through everything I put them through, and hold really well no matter how many washes or how bad my swelling is that day. Having the option of compression legging has helped a ton. They are quite sheer, so I always have them under something like other leggings or pants. The material isn't as flimsy or thin as a lot of compression socks brands, and they fit really well and I'm tall. My only gripe about these is getting them to fit right thighs up is a little difficult. These are more hip high than waist high most of the time and the waist band rolls a lot. For those who know compression socks though, you know these are quite common of any waist high socks. I've yet to see a waist high sock actually go waist high and the band not roll down, so I still give 5 stars and my continued loyalty to Beister. And yes, I've spread the word! ... show more

I have a cardiovascular condition (POTS) that softens my veins and causes strain on my heart trying extra hard to pump blood through my legs and then back to my core. I am also plus-sized. My doctor requires me to wear compression items (I prefer leggings on top of socks rather than full stockings). Every pair of plus-size “compression leggings” I bought only served as control-tops and provided no support to my legs, which rendered them useless for my condition. I finally thought to search for “medical grade” compression tights and found these. They are perfect. I measured according to the fit guide, but ended up settling on one size smaller than indicated in order to get proper support for my legs. They are wonderful. They fit snugly and provide the support I need in my legs. I do wish the plus sizes came in a few colors. I have black and navy and one pair of brown. The beige look too much like old lady stockings. I’d love to have a pair or two of dark red, maybe dark green. But still, I’m happy to have some that give me the support I need for my health. ... show more

I ordered these tights to wear post-liposuction on my knees. I wore a compression garment for a while but was advised by my doctor that I no longer needed the full garment & should try knee compression sleeves or tights. I was pleasantly surprised to find that these tights provide even more compression than my compression garment did & they're quite sturdy (it's not just a stocking/panty hose). I'm 5'2" & about 128 lbs with an athletic-ish build; slim overall with thick/stocky legs. I ordered a medium & find these to be very tight & fitted, which is what i was looking for. So if you're looking for real compression, these do the trick. I wanted to leave a review with my details because, as others mentioned, the size chart they provide is not very helpful & lead me to M, L & XL depending on which area I was measuring (my reasoning for 4 stars instead of 5). I suggest sizing up if you're taller or fuller-figured because the tights are so snug. I love that these only go to my ankles & do not cover my feet. Very nice compression pants/pantyhose. I actually do feel better AND my blood pressure is back where it should be. Excellent customer service as well. My first pair was one size too small. The return and re-order was prompt and easy. I highly recommend these compression pants.

I followed the size guidelines and while these are great in the ankle and leg, the waist is very short and they roll down. The compression in the leg is better that others that are cheaper, but the waist is poorly designed.

I ordered three different colors of these footless support hose. The first pairs I wore were beige. They seemed a little big and much too long for me even though I have a 34 inch insea,. The label on the package said XXL on one side, and XL on the other. I had already returned several pairs 2XL that were too large, and ordered these XL as replacement. The navy and black hose, in the same size XL, are smaller. I will donate the ill fitting/too large hose to charity, as I did with the XXL that I had already worn.
