This is the second clear tarp I have tried. The first one was more of a white frosted clear and you couldn’t actually see through it. While I will say the frosted one seems heavier duty. This one seems like it does the job and I can see the chickens through it! The only con at this point that I see is the grommets are not close enough. I have purchased a grommet maker to add 1-2 more between each one. The way it is now means the wind can catch it and whip it around. I can see that being very hard on the existing grommets and eventually causing them to fail. Not to mention that it will protect whatever you are covering better with more places to tie it down. ... show more

My tarp has edge stitching that is unreinforced, and in some case unfinished. It will eventually just start to pull out and unravel (I may put some spots of glue on the edges to keep that from happening). The corner reinforcements don't fit tightly to the edges, creating gaps that will trap moisture and crud. The plastic sheeting isn't particularly thick, though you would have to actually try to poke a finger through it - it probably won't happen accidentally. I have these up around the chicken coop. I have washers and screws holding it taut. Its only been a month or so but seems to be holding up well. Its great to be able to see the chickens through the plastic. Its the best thing i have found so far. Would buy again.
