I got this golf mat for my younger brother’s upcoming birthday since he’s an avid golfer, and I think he’ll really like it. One thing I didn’t fully realize before ordering is just how big this mat is. That’s completely on me—I’m not great at visualizing product dimensions, so if you’re like me, I’d recommend grabbing a tape measure to get a better sense of the size before purchasing. At 5x4 feet, it takes up a good amount of space, which is great for practice but something to keep in mind for storage. The mat itself feels high quality. This mat is great for indoor or outdoor use. I am going to use it with my new simulator. I like that it can hold tees and has different types of surfaces. The bigger size is great also. The pad and grass is not as thick as my previous one I used, but should work. will see how it holds up as it gets more use. ... show more

    • Perfect for a garage or large place to swing
I had previously purchased a much smaller hitting mat that was about 2 ft x 3 ft and I regretted it almost instantly because my feet were lower than the hitting surface. There wasn't enough room for everything. This mat more than solved the problem. It is plenty big enough to accommodate your stance and the hitting area. I don't actually hit balls off of it, but it's great for practicing your swing and loosening up before a round or a trip to the range. The surface is very sturdy, and the "grass" looks as though it will hold up for a very long time. It arrives rolled up and the instructions say to lay it out for 5 days to let it unfurl. I just put a paint can over two of the corners and it was good to go after three or four hours. I highly recommend this mat. ... show more
