I separately ordered nail extensions to use with this and I got so many compliments! There’s such a wide variety of colors and designs you can do with this kit. It’s high quality, the polish goes on very smoothly. The lamp has a sensor where you put your hand under and it automatically turns on, then it has a timer and turns off when you should remove your hand. It’s really user friendly and easy to use! I’ve never taken the time to write a review before but I’m so happy with this purchase that today is the day! I never do my nails as home because they don’t turn out as good as the salon. I’ve used dip powder for years and eventually gave up because, though they didn’t look bad, my nails didn’t look professional. My daughter is in the hospital so I sit here all day “window” shopping on Amazon and came across this gel set. It is so easy to use and they turned out amazing!!!! I’m so impressed at how simple this gel set is. I’ve used some before that didn’t dry correctly or had a streaky finish. The top coats (gloss and sparkle) are both stunning. The light works well. All the colors are beautiful. I simply followed the directions and had no problems. Tips/extra info: 1. I would recommend nail prep. I spent a good amount of time filing & shaping my nails and doing cuticle care. I think this made the application easy and is helping the gel last longer. 2. I purchased some nail art brushes and used them to do the artwork. I used the gel color that came with this set and it worked just fine. 3. This set had just about everything you need to do your nails at home, including nail prep. The only things I would say it doesn’t have is a cuticle trimmer and nail art brushes. I love these and am still using them. I do wish the bottles were larger. And after being fully cured they do peel off if in water long enough. I have noticed the clear top coats and base coat burn my nails under the light. I just hold the light higher up by about 3 inches cure for 30 seconds and start curing again as i slowly lower it then it doesn't burn. And the bottles do leak some if tiped over or on side while closed. But they are beautiful colors. ... show more

Okay so I need more practice, but I have NEVER been good at doing my nails, even with normal polish. This kit makes things so easy that this was my first crack at doing gel on my own. The colors are beautiful and high quality. The light works very well and when finished, the nails are completely cured as needed. For the price of one gel manicure in a salon, you get a kit with several dozen colors that can easily get you a hundred or more manicures in. Everything you need to do a professional job (I just need to practice my technique more, but that’s me not the kit lol). 10/10 would buy again ... show more

I am absolutely so happy with this product! This is my first purchase from the “Beetles” polish brand. The packaging is neat and compact. The polishes come in their own little plastic organizer which is nice, sturdy and perfect to carry around or have on any surface. The Base and Top gel bottles are larger than the color bottles which is very convenient because you need more than a small bottle for all of the polishes this set comes with. The box says to apply 2-3 coats of color when doing your nails so I was a bit worried that the polish would be very light and transparent but the pigment is amazing! You can see it’s great quality once you open up the bottle and see the rich colors. The brushes on the bottles are very nice as well! Although the bottles of color are smaller the brushes are not small, they’re a great size and pick up a lot of product! They dry very quickly underneath the UV nail lamp and cause no bubbles. Unlike some polishes that sting or hurt under the lamp, this polish had no pain effect on my nails! My pedicure looks as if I had it done at the Solon, this is definitely great Salon-like quality! ... show more

Here’s my review 24hours after using this gel polish. Before I get into it I want to clarify a few things. I’ve been doing my own gel polish for 5 years now. Normally I use gel polishes that Sally’s provide. I purchased this gel kit to have a wider variety of colors for way less. Okay so as I applied the polish the first coat looks super bright (you need three layers to achieve the colors in the pictures) that through me off a bit but I don’t mind it. What I do mind and am not happy with is the way the polish cures. It doesn’t smooth out, you have to use more polish than you would with brands from Sally’s in order to smoothen the polish so that it cures smoothly. Also since I have to do thicker layers it caused bubbles in the end result. As the 24hours are approaching I already have a piece of polish that chipped after washing dishes. Normally I don’t experience this until the 5-10th day depending on the brand. I give myself gel polish mani & pedi so that it will last a week or two. For it to chip in less than 24hours is disappointing. I did follow directions. Not sure what I did wrong or if it’s the quality. I will give it another shot and maybe just use a higher quality top coat. ... show more
