BEELINK SER 5 Mini Pc. February 1 2025. I have been an Intel man since 1990 and first AMD Ryzen 7 5850 processor since and performs equally or even better than the Intel. It came with 1TB hard drive, 16gb Ram. I wish I would of spent $20 more and had 32GBof RAM installed. The AMD comes with their on graphic card , Randon with a GPU processor 8 core , 16 threads capability. The machine comes wth1GB eithernet slot and Wifi 6 card. Also has Bluetooth 5. AMD software is excellant and monitor CPU and GPU temperature. Plus several other specific monitoring and setting features. I had a difficulty downloading the AMD software and realized it was my AVG security keeping me from downloading, All I did was disabled my internet security and it downloaded successfully. It came with MS Winows 11 Professional, the registration went smoothly and updated windows and security fine, I'm using two out of three monitor ports, one HDMI and HDMI display. I connected USB 3,0, four port extender, for wireless mouse and keyboard and 3.0 flash drive. I also connected to USB 30 port to 1TB hard drive plus a CDVD writable drive for offering wider variety of software. The cooling fans are not noticeable loud and pushes the air straight through the unit removing the heat as it should. My knowledge with PC started in late 80's for work. I went an opened a shop back 1990 with my first computer, apple with 40mB hard drive with floppy drive . Upgraded when internet came out and updated to compact desktop with 14.5kb eithernet modem. Since then, I have had, Hp, Dell and many others desktop manufactures spending 1000s of dollars over my coarse my life. I researched small form pcs for sometime and found Beelink SER5 for $299 offered the most for my buck. I would recommend this pc to anyone ... show more

  • Bought two of them.

My man and I love to game together. Our PC's were getting old but we didn't have a lot of money. I've worked with computers since I was 17 and I'm 40 now. So I do have quite a bit of experience. Gamers: Great for stuff like League of Legends, and I've been playing Path of Exile on it (lowered graphics) just fine. Seems to handle quite a bit despite it being integrated graphics. You can't play the new stuff with super graphics. But I don't have the dang money to buy those games anyways, so I won't be trying to play them. lol If you enjoy light gaming, this thing is perfect! Plenty of space too with the 500GB drive. Browsers/Show Watchers: If you just like browsing around and watching shows, then this thing is perfect for that! Great all-around mini pc! The things I like the most: Small and compact. No more moving a giant tower everywhere. Setup was extremely easy. Came with Windows 11 Pro. Runs all the games I play. Nice amount of RAM. I have been able to multitask without a hiccup. Example like I'm playing PoE, listening to music on Spotify, and then I look things up and keep tabbing in/out with my browser. Slower systems are gonna lag or even hiccup. But this one just keeps truckin. So it's pretty great for medium multitasking as well. Do you dislike anything about it? Well I know I can't play the newest games that have intense graphics, but that's a sacrifice you have to make if you can't afford your own dedicated graphics card in a big system. But honestly that's the only downside at all. And I'm cool with that, it does exactly what I need. I ended up enjoying this mini PC so much, that I have just gotten a second one for my guy. I freaking love technology, and I LOVE what a powerhouse this lil thing is for the price. Super recommend. (Also don't get the cheaper mini PC's that are around 100-200 unless you are strictly browsing online and watching youtube, you can't game on those, I've bought one before, they're not strong enough for it.) ... show more

  • amazing purchase
Size: SER5 Pro 32G/500G/5850U
Bought this with the intention to mainly use it as a permanent fixture to watch movies/shows and connect to steams big picture mode on our bedroom projector, we were previously using our ps5 but wanted to switch that to the living room and be able to use the internet so this seemed the logical upgrade. It works great, boots fast, is so very quiet and takes up no space at all. Paired it with a wireless keyboard with a track pad and its probably the best purchase I've made all year. ... show more

  • Very nice but a couple of mino caveats (one only for FreeBSD users)
Size: SER5 Pro 32G/1T/5850U
I booted up with a RedHat USB, didn't even boot Windows. It runs well with RedHat and pretty well with FreeBSD which I also tried, but with FreeBSD there's no sound. This might be a mistake on my part, but I've always managed to get sound working with it, so it loses 1/2 star for that, though FreeBSD can be considered, I suppose, an edge case. The other complaint that I feel should be made plainer in the description is that about 4 GB of the memory is used for the GPU. This seems to be the default on most Beelink AMD machines. This isn't horrible, that still leaves 28 G of RAM, (and 12 G on a 16 G Beelink) and it can be changed in the BIOS, but it seems that billing it as 32G is a bit deceptive, though it may simply be an oversight. I would definitely recommend it though, especially at the price I paid, which was around $355 with tax. I don't see these on Beelink's site anymore, everything there is more expensive. I'd actually bought a 16G/500G SSD EQ6 before, and when I saw this had double the specs for about what I paid for the EQ6, I bought it. I'm sort of nitpicking giving it 4 stars, but I figure 1/2 star for FreeBSD and sound, 1/4 star for the misleading memory use, and to nitpick a little more, as a Linux/BSD user 1/4 star for coming with Windows rather than with no O/S. I could easily be argued into giving it the full 5 stars for what it is. EDIT a couple of weeks later. I was able to get sound working on FreeBSD, thanks to a year old post on the FreeBSD forums. I'm leaving it at 4 stars as I find the fact that they make the plug one of these huge things that takes up a couple of outlets on a surge protecter. In contrast, the EQ series one that bought before, had a normal plug that doesn't take any extra space in a socket. ... show more
