Took it out of the box and bag and let it reform back to shape. Only took a few hours for it to be fully flat and ready to use. Perfect sizing. The bottom part of it has a rubbery latex smell because of the grippy texture they put on it but the actual foam mattress is pretty odorless. Let it air out for about a day and it was fine. I was looking for a queen-size topper for our guest room bed that had a budget-priced Serta Europe Top mattress and foundation. I wanted firmness as well as the soft feel of memory foam but not too deep. I read dozens of reviews and decided to chance it based on my research. This purchase turned out to be 100% satisfactory. Even beyond that. I had none of the issues others were reporting in their reviews. This product was very well packaged and opened easily with the careful use of scissors on the plastic wrapping. Instead of the expected two days to allow for expansion and odor reduction, this topper expanded in one hour and the very faint odor dissipated in one hour also. the size was perfect for the queen size. The cover of the product was beyond excellent. Very well done with large stout easy-to-use corner straps to position the topper in place. Our mattress pad and linens fit over the height of the mattress plus topper with zero problems. This is one of the best purchase choices I could have made. I'm very happy with it. Our first house guests are due to stay with us and they will be treated to a very comfortable experience. I'm super happy with this purchase and the quality of this topper is the best I've seen. I'll buy a king-size for our master bedroom as well. I highly recommend this company and this product. My choice was the 3-inch model with the Extra Firm base. This topper is nice and firm, exactly as described. I love that it is true-sized, and not an inch smaller in dimensions, as most toppers appear to be. This was one of the selling points for me, that it would cover the full mattress, not be short. It's a little too firm for me personally, but I'm still giving it a 5, as that's my issue, not the topper's issue. It has stayed nicely on top of my futon and hasn't shifted or slid to one side as my old memory foam one used to do. The mattress topper seems to be of good quality. It did puff up to 4 inches. It makes my bed more cozy (and higher). I left it on the floor flat for 2 days but mine plumped up almost immediately. This topper is way firmer than I thought it would be. Probably my mistake since my last topper was medium firm and I wanted one just a bit firmer. I spent one night on it and was in pain all night long from how hard it was. And that was on the side that was suppose to be not as firm as the other. Even my husband said t was hard as a board. Otherwise I must say it's a really nice product and comes in a cover and has straps to anchor it to your mattress. If it only hadn't been so uncomfortable I would be thrilled with it including the price. The only other con I have is it's a few inches on each side bigger than my queen mattress. ... show more

We got the kingsize topper due to the fact that our NEW bed was very stiff and uncomfortable. We had such a hard time finding a good mattress no matter what research i did, and i still messed it up lol. Long story short, this topper has really been helpful. Weve slept on it for about a week now and I’ve already seen great improvement on our rest. Great deep sleep. I hope it holds up okay over time!, i really enjoy the straps the go on to the mattress to keep it in place, they seem to be doing their job. This is actually my bad for not expecting this bed topper to be as firm as described. Now I see that it does say extra firm, so if you're looking to buy something to soften your firm mattress, this is not it. This topper is two sided, supposedly one softer than the other but barely. They are both hard. Besides being disappointed with the firmness, the cover that it comes with says "Do Not Wash" , it is spot clean only. It also says do not remove pad from cover. Why then does it come with a nicely zippered cover? It might as well be one piece. I did actually have a legitimate problem with the extended delay it requires to expand fully. After four days in a 70 degree room is still has a large ridge running down the center. I even took a hair dryer to it as the directions suggest , but it made little difference. It's not usable yet. I will be returning this product and continue my search for a more cloud like feel with a washable outer cover. If firmness is what you're looking for, perhaps to rejuvenate an older saggy mattress, this could be the right product for you. Surprisingly it does not seem to have any odor. Also, the cover is of decent quality but the elastic straps to hold it to the mattress are cheap. ... show more
