Depending how long you position the bar between the mattress and box springs, it can give a bit when getting in and out of bed, but the legs give it the extra support to keep steady. While it's pretty common sense on how to put it together, instructions kept mentioning L shape part when it's more a T. The magnet to hold the light is rather flimsy so the light just sits in the pocket. Mom has light set to motion sense and it goes off in a short amount of time. My Dad has Parkinson’s and needed something to sturdy to help him out of bed and also to help him stay in bed. He says this is the “Greatest invention since sliced bread.” He was having problems getting up and also with falling out of bed. This bed rail slides under the mattress and is very sturdy!

Wow! I ordered this for my mother's bed and it arrived super quick. It's sturdy and well made. I followed the pictures and written directions but was a little stumped when two of the buttons would not go in the holes. I guess they just didn't based on the pictures. That would have prevented the tunes from sliding out. I think the weight of the mattress will hold it together and my mother is using it. Win,win. ... show more
