Part of the blanket doesn't get warm, absolutely love the feel of it, and the color . Part that gets warm is so awesome. When you have temperatures that go down to --57 degrees with wind chill you need that warmth. I love Blanket to cold to return it. 1st updated I finally told Amazon wanted a replacement when my granddaughter was cold and only one side got really warm the other side hardly anything I requested a replacement it arrived very quickly however in the wrong color I had beautiful indigo and they sent a plain gray. 2nd Update I received a replacement Blanket from Amazon since contacted them right after purchase. Now fast forward 6 months now that winter is here I need the blanket and doesn't it work. So I contacted Amazon because it supposed to have a one year warranty. But there no information on the paperwork that came with it. So contacted Amazon customer service was told pretty much sorry about your lucky we can't help you. They did give me 2 numbers first one just a busy signal. Second one doesn't handle the issue, however they did give me a number for it. 1- 866- 456-8852, I was able to reach someone. Thankfully they were able to help me. Remember when your item arrives to send in that warranty card. Write down all the information on the back of your controller incase it gets worn off. Because they will need it, also the correct phone number is on the back of the controller. It will save you a lot of time and stress. Because when you pay for something so expensive can't afford for it to not to work 6 months after purchasing it. Sad first one didn't work, 2nd one stopped 6 months after purchasing. And figure you don't use it during the summer. So would I recommend it no. Love the softness of it. But it's the heat I need living in frozen tundra. ... show more

After purchasing several different brands...I have found one that,(so far), works properly. It does behoove you to do some research and read through reviews in trying to find a warming blanket that is reliable. Bought one at BB&B in April that stopped working after 3 months. Bought a second one with dual controls where only one side would function. Bought one from another big box store and it didn't work right out of the box. Another called Simpliwarm, barely got warm at all and took forever (hours) for it to have some semblance of getting even slightly warm. Though this one may be a little pricier than others on the market...it heats up quickly. It is a little heavier than what I wanted and at first and I thought that 20 levels of warmth was over kill, but play with it and feel the difference between the levels to find a comfort level for you. My TWO COMPLAINTS are that the control read=outs are NOT LED... they are LCD with side illumination from orange LED lighting...but the LCD digital read-out is a bit fuzzy and difficult to read, even with my glasses on. Also, the control settings for length of time is a bit weird. You have to read the overly confusing manual to decipher and figure it out. It is designed to automatically shut off after ten hours, but that is adjustable. The controls could have been simpler as like on ANY of the other brands I tried previously. Obviously, the people that engineered this had over -thought this and made it less user friendly. But it works well with those two exceptions. This was purchased for my 76 year old father, who is always cold after having a stroke, and he absolutely loves it! It is very well made and thicker than we expected. He can’t wait to go to bed at night because of how warm the blanket is. It has improved the quality of his sleep, which has helped him tremendously.
