Excellent full-color photos of both the materials and the steps of construction.     • for someone who’s just curious about stringing a few pieces of jewelry
I’m not sure whether to give this a 3, 4, or 5 star review, because as an absolute beginner this was helpful but also was very limited in what it covered. I feel like it’s maybe best for an audience who is not only a beginner, but who also really just wants to string a few pieces of simple jewelry. The main thing this book offers that stands out is a good number of specific projects that tell you exactly how much of what to buy, and step by step how to put it together. I might give this book to someone who’s just curious about making a few pieces of jewelry (as opposed to someone who’s decided to embark into a jewelry making hobby). I actually prefer a less directive approach so i can just be creative. And, even though i’m a beginner, i also have a deeper and broader interest in jewelry making than this book covers. For me “ 200 Beading Tips, Techniques & Trade Secrets” by Jean Power was a better fit, and if i’d gotten it first, i’d have looked no further (regarding stringing beads, anyway) since it covers stringing in as much detail as this one (though projects do not seem as explicitly directive), and it also covers wire wrapping, bead weaving and etc. ... show more

I use it to fine tune somethings I need in my beading craft. I love how it give info on how to tie knots to stinging pearls to wire making jewels. Shows you your must have tools for beading, bead shape and size. A must have book

    • Great material but low resolution photos
There’s tons of good information and nice projects to do in this book, but unfortunately they didn’t use photo quality paper for the printing. Because of that, all the photos look like something you’d print at home. That was a deal breaker for me. Bummer.
