The Be Quiet Pure Rock 2 Slim is an aesthetically good looking unit. It's quite affordable compared to other comparable products from other vendors. It cools up to 130 Watts TDP, so make sure you check your CPU's TDP Wattage to make sure this cooler can handle it. Thermal paste is pre-applied and the default brackets setup is for AM4 AMD CPU's. They do include brackets for Intel CPU's, but it's a less eloquent mounting system than the default AMD mounting system. It comes with a 92mm fan, which helps with its compact size but still affords great (and quiet) cooling, airflow and overall performance. This product would not be good for extreme overclockers as you could potentially exceed the maximum TDP Wattage this fan is rated for. However, if you either leave your rig stock or even do mild overclocking, this fan should be more than sufficient for your needs - and at a very affordable price. ... show more

This fan, combined with two 140mm case fans, has kept my server at room temperature for a few months straight. It installed easily, looks clean, and runs quietly. I was worried it would get warm because the heat pipes are so long before the heat sink starts, but it hasn't been an issue. Mounting the fan to the heat sink is a little awkward, and I wish they had included another set of fan brackets in case I wanted to mount another fan (but after using this for a few months, another fan wouldn't have been necessary). ... show more

I needed to air cool a AMD 5600x and this smaller Air cooled tower does pretty good. While its nothing like a water cooled system, it still gets the job done. It came with the AMD spring locks already installed, they did provide the mounting kit for the Intel chips also. I found it easy to mount onto my 5600x, but that crazy spring wire you use on the fan, is not an ideal mounting system, so I had to take a star away for that cheap idea, I know most manufacturing are going to that type of mount, still doesn't make it ideal. AT full turbo speed the fan is whisper quiet, kudos on that. I used my own higher quality thermo paste. ... show more

I'm not pushing my new build with the latest games, but so far I haven't heard a peep from it since I got it up and running a month and a half ago. I do the same things on this pc(except using ubuntu), as I did with my loser acer nitro suckface edition, and that made sounds like what I hear when starting up an aircraft.     • Cheap plastic tabs for mounting
The mounting system uses small plastic tabs that bend easily and are difficult to align and use properly. Also, the package I received was not new as there were loose parts and the protective covering on the heatsink was missing. I can not comment on performance as I was never able to get the heatsink mounted securely with the plastic tabs constantly bending. I finally gave up. Bought to replace an aging AMD fan that was getting extremely noisy and inefficient. This BK030 fan fits very well, easy to install and has a high cooling capacity (for my application). Worked well for about a year on my old computer and was moved to a new build recently. Computer is practically silent and CPU temps remain in recommended range.     • Great CPU Cooler for Lower Power CPUs!
This CPU cooler is a major upgrade to the AMD Wraith Stealth CPU cooler supplied with the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G processor. The CPU temperature is a whopping -25 C cooler running Cinebench R23. The CPU temperature was 93 C with the Wraith Stealth cooler, almost at the thermal limit. (The max operating temperature for the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G is 95 C.) The CPU temperature was 68 C with this be quiet! cooler. Wow, -25 C reduction! And idle and gaming temperatures were also reduced by -5 C. I’ve built many desktop computers over the years. I’ve always used aftermarket CPU coolers – except for my latest desktop build where I tried the stock CPU cooler. I decided to replace the stock CPU cooler after seeing how hot the CPU ran the Cinebench R23 program. The stock cooler is barely adequate. This CPU cooler is rated for 130 TDP, double the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G processor’s rating of 65 TDP. It has plenty of overhead. I highly recommend this CPU cooler for lower power CPUs. ... show more
