Just received this item a few days ago. Not only was it inexpensive- it's perfect for what I needed it for. Living in a city, space is a huge issue so, a lot of my furniture is chosen based on size. I could go to Pottery Barn and get something like this that's real wood, heavy, and extremely durable. However, I would pay 10 times the amount and, it would be too large. My dining room is split space next to my kitchen (not a separate room but separated enough due to the wall layout). So, I keep my printer and paper shredder in there and the way I've had it set up- it doesn't seem hideous or out of place. The issue was that I had office supplies in 3 different areas of the apartment which, drives me crazy bc I'm super organized and like things to be logical in how they're stored. So, I ordered this for my dining room space as a cabinet to store office supplies. The back side is basically that foldable heavy cardboard that you insert into the grooves. But, no one will see it. The rest of the product is sturdy and it looks nice. Assembly was pretty easy (took a little over an hour but, I was exhausted when I did it so I think it could be done in 45min-an hour). The front panels on the doors are definitely fragile. So, if you have kids or aren't mindful when you open/close things...not sure how well they with withstand the abuse. I was also able to use shoe box size containers inside on some of the shelves. But the next size up of containers- was too big. But given the shelves are on pegs, you can choose to take out a shelf if needed. That probably wouldn't be an issue if you're actually using this for shoe storage though. Since I like things labeled and in containers- it forced me to take most of the stuff out of containers and just store on the shelves. Which, I was okay with because there's plenty of space to store things by category on the same shelves;-) I've attached a photo here of the product once assembled. It's not fancy but I think if it's in the right space in a home- it can look nice. For me, it works in the small space that I have it. I will say that it's lower in height than my dining room table. Which, isn't an issue for be based on how it's being used and where it's located. But, if you're storing this in an entryway or somewhere that it matters how furniture looks- I would maybe suggest looking at the measurements and taping them off on your wall first to see if it's something that would work for you and your space. I was worried because I am a single almost 50 year old woman and sometimes I try to put things together that may be easy for some but I find overwhelming with a million pieces and not clear instructions. I was very happy to see the instructions were VERY EASY to follow and the piece not only looks wonderful but has a good amount of room. I am an empty nester and just bought myself a new condo and for the first time ever really nice dining furniture, but the room needed another piece and it was hesitant because I didn’t want it to lol cheap. First pros: arrived early and in perfect shape. Be warned, it’s heavy. But I was happy with that. Well made pieces. We opened box in garage and carried the parts to the room where it would live. Not a problem. Looks great, loads of storage very happy and would recommend and buy again The cons: I’ve put together lots of “flat packs.” I enjoy it and am realistic enough to know there will always be some point somewhere along the process that’s a little frustrating. So that said, these were hands down the worst directions I ever worked with. Drawings with no explanations. Parts aren’t well identified. (I’ve had other flat packs where the bags were labeled with name and number of the part. Boy is that helpful!) Very difficult to decide which screw was needed, but logic eventually wins out. The last drawing showed doors and top already on. Which goes first? Of course I chose wrong, and then had to take things apart. Finally turned it upright to discover the legs weren’t level. But that’s an easy fix and doesn’t bother me. So definitely happy and recommend. Take your time, walk away if you get frustrated, and a second set of hands is a good idea. ... show more

This works very well! I am using it to hold shoes. I can see if someone has large shoes, you might need to put them in sideways, but for our shoes (women’s size 7-8.5 and men’s size 9) they fit perfectly. We laid carpet in the inside just so dirt from the shoes didn’t get on the wood. I was worried about it being difficult to assemble, so we organized the pieces and labeled them. After that, we realized the pieces were labeled with a stamp on the side, but that’s easy to miss. It wasn’t very hard to assemble, but it did take a little while to put together. This looks very nice and seems sturdy. You will want to have the back against a wall or similar, as it doesn’t look that nice from the backside (the back piece is just like a cardboard material). It came with well packed box and pretty heavy. Fairly easy to assembly if follow the instruction, the only draw back is the instruction doesn’t list parts clear enough, some places need to make your own guess. The cabinet is the right side that we like, build is fair but not super heavy duty.

It is not easy to setup. Since it is an engineered wood product, it is very delicate and fragile. I don't know know long it will last ! However, it does look neat / nice and there is plenty of space to keep15-18 pairs of adults and kids shoes. However, overall, I would not recommend this.

I was so tired of tripping on my shoes in the hallway so I found this amazing peice of furniture! Easy to install and maintain only issue was I kept losing the magnet that kept the door closed. However I glued it now works great. Love it

Easy to assemble, took me less than an hour by myself. Quality seems fine and it looks nice. My husband wears a size 10.5 and they fit no problem. I left one shelf out of the 3rd cabinet to fit boots.
