The price on these (I bought two,) was too good to be true. It is very thin metal but it works great for storing garage stuff. Tools, fertilizer stuff, garden stuff, just great all around.     • Shipping something this big is bound to lead to a few problems
I ordered two of these cabinets for my company's office, and put them together by myself (am a "little old lady"). These come in two pretty hefty boxes per cabinet. Three out of the four boxes had no damage to the contents, but the 4th did, such that one side panel was slightly dented in the middle and a couple other pieces - a shelf and a back piece - also showed signs of stress, but less noticeably. Nevertheless the damage wasn't so bad that it interfered with assembly, and we'll find a way to hide the one panel where it's visually noticeable. I think the company who did the packing did about the best they could. There were *metal* pieces protecting every corner of the boxes. The stresses that couldn't be avoided were in the middle of the box: too much flexing applied at some point in transit. I can't see any way they could protect against that without making shipping costs outrageous. Overall I think it's pretty great value for money. Keep an eye on shipping charges, they're pretty high, but I think these are still worth it because they have actually-latching handles and beat other cabinets in available volume. Assembly was not at all difficult. Instructions are adequate. The only absolutely required tools are a utility knife for unboxing and a Philips screwdriver. A needle nose plier will be helpful for installing the handle because a cotter pin is part of it. Regular pliers or their equivalent might come in handy if there is a bent flange and you want to bend it back. Have a flashlight as well, so you can see the screw holes (this is really the most frustrating part) when working inside the cabinet or in a tight spot and light is restricted. Be prepared to have to get rid of a lot of styrofoam, and have a plan for recycling the cardboard. ... show more

Given the price and ease of assembly these cabinets are a good value. Doors operate well and when cabinets are fully assembled, are rigid and perform as advertised. These do not belong in a commercial or industrial setting. It would be equivalent to putting a band aid on an amputation. I renovated my garage: lighting, paint, Race Deck floor, etc. with 3 of these cabinets I am able to put nearly everything into them thus making the garage super neat and organized. My husband was able to assemble two of these cabinets I about 2 hours. After doing the first one, the second one was easier for him to assemble and they are serving their purpose well and look great in the space. The metal dents easily, so be sure to handle them carefully when assembling. I would purchase again, so helpful with keeping my at home business items organized. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Let me start by saying I just wanted cheap storage for the garage and this works for that purpose. That being said this is just cheap thin sheet metal with tiny screws holding it together. It’s easy to bend so expect some dents and dings in shipping (see pics) because the box is extremely heavy. The ad says this can be assembled in 40 minutes and they recommend 2 people. Maybe if 2 people have already built one they could do it in 40 minutes. I assembled it myself and it took two and a half hours. It also advertises 180lbs per shelf and that’s a joke. The bottom shelf has 4 small screws holding the back and nothing supporting the front. I bent it down a couple inches with 2 fingers (see video). So if you want to tackle this…….. I’ve resembled a lot of different furniture and this might have been the hardest one ever. The instructions are vague at best and the pictures are not detailed enough to make out. It’s in English but as we’ll be in another language. Throw away the included screw driver, it’s useless. The included screws are 1/4in and very hard to line up with the holes. Dont over tighten or they strip right out. Have pliers handy because I had to bend back corners to make them line up. BEFORE YOU START, make sure all the parts are there, I was missing I vital pin that holds the door on. GO TO THE HARDWARE STORE and buy a box of self tapping metal screws. I added an extra 24 after it was assembled to make it more rigid. I screwed the bottom shelf on from the outside and the front (pics and video) and the frame and top. It seems relatively sturdy now. Good luck with the door handle/lock, it has one picture and no instructions on how to assemble it. All that said, with some extra screw and a lot of elbow grease I think it will serve its purpose at a decent price. ... show more

It’s very flimsy, easy to bend scratch and dent, and one of the poorest designs for where screws go and trying to get things lined up.
