I would recommend that the sticky mount not be used on drywall or wallpapered walls. Or painted surfaces unless you are not planning on ever having to remove it from those delicate surfaces I have mine mounted to the side of my stand up freezer and on concrete wall both using the sticky mount. This replaces a plastic one I had in my old apartment. This is metal with a very strong adhesive back. You can secure with the adhesive or the included hardware or both. I was able to secure it in my linen closet. Holds my broom, mop, swiffer and duster. Comes with hooks for miscellaneous items like my packing tape dispenser, hammer and measuring tape.
