It works, but only lasts about 4 hours of gameplay. The battery will not charge from the controller only the port. I appreciate that the manufacurer wrote INSIDE on the part that goes inside, however due to the pictures of the product it shows the battery specifications on the inside portion rather than how they are printed on the outside. With testing I found the batteries to have 500mwh charge but the battery themselves says 1060 mwh and the product page it says 4400 mwh. So this does in fact violate consumer laws in various countries. ... show more

Easy to set up and charge. Charges well and works for several hours. Fits perfectly with my xbox series x controller. I really only use 1 controller, so I always have the other battery ready to go whenever I need to switch off. If you have kids or use 2 controllers frequently, I would get 2 of these so you can always have a charged pair of batteries ready to go. 10/10 would buy again. ... show more

Purchased these along with my new Xbox Core (Series X/S, One) controller. As they had to charge first, I threw in the Duracells that came with the controller. Once those died, I tried to throw one of these in. It was a horrible. They were near impossible to insert. I double and triple checked the correct position (it isn't difficult, as they literally print on the packs which side faces toward the inside/outside of the controller). Once I did get one in, the controller wouldn't even power on. I tried the other pack. Same thing. Disappointedly, I resigned myself to returning this product. I went out and bought some off-brand batteries and used them for a few days. Once I took the time to get this ready for return, I decided to try one more time. Not only did the pack slide in more easily, but the controller actually powered on. I tried the second pack. It, too, slid in easily and worked! To be fair, they do explain that a new controller would take some force when putting a pack in for the first time, so I expected that. But the fact that it didn't power on was a problem. I can't say I understand why they suddenly started working, but they did. Aside from the rough start, I love the way the unit looks, and it was the right price point for what I needed. After a few gaming sessions, maybe 5+ hours, the battery life seems to be fine, only coming down to 70% in that time. Ultimately, I'm happy I tried one more time. ... show more
