I have a Viscosoft comforter which I love for colder weather, but as most comforters do, it takes a long time to dry and it's too much for warm weather. I saw this one and thought it was the best choice. I WAS concerned when some said it was NOT plum, as while I get some like REALLY vivid purple, doesn't really go with my bedroom. PROS: FIRST, PACKAGING - I read a review where someone mentioned it came in such a small package they sent back because obviously not thick enough. Well, I loved the packaging. Comes in a zippered case and within that case, my full/queen was VACUUM sealed, so that's why it didn't take up much space. THICKNESS - IT IS a lightweight blanket, but that's EXACTLY what I wanted for summer and fall. SOFTNESS - OMG, feels like a fluffy bunny. WASHING/DRYING - JUST washed it (on gentle, did a second rinse with extra liquid softener) and dried on low. Dried quickly and came out beautifully. There was almost NO lint in the lint trap. COLOR/SHEEN/SLICKNESS - It is a TOUCH more vibrant because of the sheen than the pic, but PERFECT. For me, DEFINITELY plum, just shiny. Looks expensive. For those who say it's slippery, I just tuck in the bottom, no prob with it falling off the bed. SIZE - I WAS WORRIED this would be too large for my FULL bed. I DO have a 14 inch mattress, no box springs, but a high platform bed. THIS DOES NOT hang down far at all. I wish it were a little longer as to keep it from slipping off the bed, I tuck the bottom in a bit, but then it doesn't come as far up to the top as I would prefer. Anyway, it certainly is NOT too big for full size mattress I have! NO REAL CONS, BUT the one concern I have is I have a cat that jumps on my bed. I read a review it can snag. Husband hates top sheets (kicks them off in his sleep) and he runs too hot for a full comforter, but i run too cold not to have something warm. The solution has been these. They look great on the bed, super soft, no shedding, makes me not miss the top sheet and perfect amout of heat for us to have a happy medium. If you're using in place of a comforter size up. This blanket is very comfortable! Inexpensive but made with high quality fabric, lightweight and it fits my bed perfectly. Though it's a basic design, I love the colour. Easy to fold back; I look forward to wrapping myself up in it every night! I highly recommend this blanket.
