I shopped for months and almost got a few cheaper sets. I chose this one based on style, color, quality, ease of assembly (comparatively) and of course the price. Style - Very good modern quality design. Looks pricey. Glass is blacked out. All hardware is black. Color - Deep black (exactly what i wanted). Quality - Beyond expectations. Ease of assembly - Very simple and easy. There's only 2 different size screws for hardware. No nuts to deal with. *I would suggest an auto screwdriver or drill w/ hex bit but you can hand crank everything with the supplied hex wrench (yes, it hurts after a while). Just be sure to go back and tighten everything up later. Instructions mention you may need to re-tighten anyway. Other things to note: The pillows are thin and there is no back pillow but the material is stretchy and flexes which gives a comfortable feel. I like that the 4 pillows are the same size as you can easily store them until you're ready to use the furniture or even just use it without. The backrest portion of the furniture is a nice height and decently vertical and supportive. I'm 6'1" with a bad back. This set fits me perfect. This set looked like such a good deal I bought it immediately! Then, I looked at the reviews and was a little worried about assembly and quality. As soon as I finished assembling it i was in love with it. It's not the highest quality but it looks it. I spent $700 on our last metal patio set and this is hands down nicer! Now my husband actually sits outside with me in the mornings when I have my coffee. My main caution is that the arm chairs have a difficult time fitting together. The holes don't match up exactly and it takes some muscle to fit them together enough to get the screws in. But, this was only the case with the chairs not the love seat or the table. Two other things of note are that you do not get extra screws. The only thing they give you spares of are the washers. And finally, I saw a review where someone said they were sent two of the same side panels and couldn't assemble their chairs which had me worried about mine. When I went to put it together I noticed that left and right sides were assigned part numbers 2 and 4. A quick review of the parts I was sent revealed I only had part 2 and not part 4s. Don't panic! My parts were all labeled incorrectly for the sides but the pieces were all there! Don't just go off of what the number says try the parts out for your self and hopefully it will turn out the way mine did. I would absolutely order this again and recommend it to anyone looking for an upgrade to their patio set. ... show more

Set looks great not to hard to assemble giving it 4 stars because I researched this unit for a while before I purchased it and from the picture i included above it states on Amazon that this real wicker but when I recieved the unit the label on the unit clearly states it's not real wicker . So if u looking for wicker this unit is not !! Still for the price it looks good. Still shouldn't be labeled as real wicker if it isn't. ... show more

Update 5/2021: 5 years later The cushions are getting a bit thin but the patio set still looks great. My deck is northeast facing so get sunlight only in the morning. I move them to garage every fall, I don’t think the plastic can withstand the cold winters in NJ. Maybe that’s why some reviews say they are breaking apart, too much sun or too cold? Original Review 6/2016 I took a chance and ordered this set without any review. I am so glad that i did. The chairs and sofa are very sturdy and comfortable. They are on the small side though. Delivery was fast, ordered on Sunday and received on wed. The shipment consists three large boxes. It took me about 2 hours to put together. i've never assembled any furniture before so i say its pretty easy to assemble Just lay all the pieces on the floor and use common sense. There are three different sizes of metal screws so make sure you use the right one. The pictures of the black set on amazon show no back cushion and the seat cushion color is grey. The actual set I received has back cushions and the color of the cushions is white.i actually liked white better than grey. If you are looking for something for a small patio or deck space, i highly recommend this set! good quality and much sturdy compared to those in $200 range. ... show more

Product looks good but came with manufacturing problem likes the ones on the pictures (staples coming out, rust, on the table it had rust on one of the screw holes so there is not way to get the screw in specifically the special one that hold the glass...... when it arrived I caught the UPS guy leaving a note because there was not way on earth that a single person could unload this mammoth of a box, so I had to help him unload the truck which it was a nightmare because the box didn’t even fit on the truck... so I finally got it out to my porch and we spent about 4 hrs to build this crap up because it literally had to be forced and bent to get it together;plus the quality for the price is not as good, when you sit on it, event when the cushions are on it feels like your sinking. Amazon got us some of the money back which we had to accept because to return this my friends you have to disassemble (no way I was gonna spend 4 extra hrs of my life on this) and way to UPS to pick it up (which I was not gonna help to load again) ... show more

Love this set! It looks absolutely fabulous on my patio. The pieces are a little on the small side, but not tiny. The construction is sturdy, but I would probably not let anyone really large sit on it. I would say 250lbs would be the max, so if this is an issue for you get something bigger. Putting it together wasn't too hard. The trick is to really read the instructions and only hand tighten everything until you have all the bolts in. If you over tighten before all the bolts are in you will have issues getting the holes to line up. Other than that it's solid and a great value for the price. ... show more
