I originally got this topper because my mattress is about 10 years old and was sagging. I woke up every morning with back pain and I thought id try the cheaper route of a tooper over getting a new mattress. This topper fit my full size exactly as it should it doesnt shift around it stays put. I have used it for about a week and found that it has filled the sagging in the mattress and I can sleep much better than before. I don't wake up with back pain like I was before. I dont wake up as often which wasn't much of a problem but I did notice and I get better sleep in general. It is also cooling and I don't get nearly as hot at night as I did. In general is is soft, comfortable, fits well, eases back pain, stays cool, seems to be a quality product, and doesnt add alot more depth to your mattress so it keeps the same look. I have been sleeping on this mattress topper for a week now and I do really like it. It softened up my firm mattress perfectly. It is now exactly the balance I like between firm and soft. I feel like Goldilocks sleeping on this thing. The padding feels soft and durable, and it fluffed up well in the dryer. My only complaint with this topper is that it makes me quite warm during the night. I am not a hot sleeper, but I do like to stay cool throughout the night. I was looking forward to the "cooling" effects of the bamboo, but I did not get that. I never got hot on my mattress with a bamboo cover on it, so I think it is due to the stuffing. If you want a good layer of cushion and don't mind being warm during the night, this is a great choice. If waking up with your back dripping sweat isn't for you... I would go with a different option. I have a memory foam mattress. I love the firmness, but it's warm. I tend to overheat on it when going to bed, but it was a perfect temperature for me in the morning. A new mattress would be expensive and would I be comfortable? I decided to try the bamboo mattress topper after reading the description that its cooling and breathable. I had doubts. I am a believer. I fell asleep immediately. To be fair, this did not make me sleepy or correct any insomnia one might have. It corrected the warmth held by the memory foam mattress and made overheating a non-issue. I wish I bought this a year ago. Night after night, as we move into winter with changing temperatures, I am still comfortable. I will also add that I have had bamboo sheets in the past and found them to be noisy. This was the one reason I held off buying the mattress cover, thinking it would be noisy. Maybe the sheets were cheap or a bad representation of how bamboo performs, but I am glad I tried this. Its really comfortable. ... show more

The pillow top is very comfortable and well made. My issue has been finding a mattress pad that can accommodate a 14 inch mattress. This item was listed as fitting up to a 20 inch thick mattress. I thought I would have plenty of material to wrap under. It barely comes to the bottom of my mattress, and that is with my pulling it very hard. The side material is also very thin and the elastic is small for being marketed for thicker mattresses. Overall I'll keep it but may use it on the queen bed instead of the king bed and keep looking for a deep pocket cover. ... show more

When I first received the bamboo mattress topper I was disappointed I was going to return it. It looked flat n not like the picture. But I decided to give it a try n it has fluffed up and I am no longer waking up with back aches.
