  • Great for CPAP Use
Style: 288Wh/330W
If you are a camper, but you use a CPAP, then this is the power station for you. One full charge gives you from two to three nights of CPAP use. It charges back to 100% quickly (on my generator it only takes 2-3 hours). It's very compact and light so it's easy to pack and take along. Controls are easy to use and the display shows you the status of the charge at a single glance. ... show more

  • Not as advertized!
Style: 1000W
I bought this for emergency power. I had seen a review where the reviewer powered a regular size refrigerator. It's light weight, powerful, and very portable. The 1000w station does have pass thru as well (I think the smaller ones do not). I bought it for $600 on sale which is better than the $1100 Jackery. I also like that the display shows runtime left with the attached load (the Jackery doesn't do this). Now for the bad. First, it was supposed to come with the solar charge adaptor. I contacted Baldar and they said it was a mistake on the product description. Furthermore, that in the user manual, it doesn't list that adaptor as included. I argued that how would I know until I received it? Meanwhile, I bought another adaptor so I could try out the unit (as the return time clock is ticking). The standard 8mm barrel adaptor (meant for a Jackery) was a bit loose and made for a bad connection. After a bit of "negotiations", they did send me one (theirs does fit good). They then removed the inclusion of a solar adaptor from their product description. I'm not sure if the Baldar power station is somehow non-standard or if the adaptor I tried was non-standard 8mm barrel. So, to be safe, I would recommend ordering theirs separately as it is no longer included. The next issue was the charge rates. I bought a Bluetti 200w solar panel because I figured the extra 50w overage would be good for lower light conditions. Baldar recommends using two of their 120w panels, but that seemed over kill for a 150w charge rate. When I finally got their adaptor and plugged it into the panel, it would only charge at 117 watts max, no matter the sun exposure (full FL sun)! The Bluetti panel also had a bad connection on the back of the panel as well and so the power would drop down to 20w. If I moved the cable, it would go up to 117 again, but no more. I returned the Bluetti thinking due to the bad connection, I was only getting 117w max. I bought a Renogy 200w solid panel (two 100w panels tied together). I got the same max 117w but the intermittent connection power drop to 20w was resolved. With the same 117w max results once again, I contacted Baldar. I asked them if the internal solar controller was defective because I had tried two different 200w panels in full sun. At first, I got another run around with them asking me to provide them with links to the panels I used because of a possible compatibility issue. They were not quick to reply. After a bit, they replied that with solar it only charges at 120w max!! They said "If you use the wall adapter it will be 150W, car cable will be 60W and solar is 120W. There is nothing wrong with the solar controller, (it's) just the way the unit is designed". I asked why then do they recommend two 120w solar panels? The answer was to ensure 120 watts (or as much as possible) in less light! All this took me over the return window. I’m not fighting a return because I think it will still work for what I want, and the price is better than other comparable stations, but it gets a three-star rating. To date, they have not corrected the product description to reflect the lower solar and automobile charge wattage. If after reading this you still buy one, don't waste your money on a 200w or two 120w panels, I think a 150w panel would suffice. I did keep my Renogy 200w panel. I do like it because it also has a solar controller that can easily be bypassed for power stations or enabled for 12v systems. So even though it's overkill for a 120w max charge rate, I'm keeping the Renogy. ... show more

  • Not for major power draws but does provide plenty within its limitations.
Style: 500W
I'm a guitar player. Like to go camping. Was surprised the 500watt can run a Fender Blues Jr tube amp (10-12hrs) or a Roland AC90 solid state amp (20 hrs!!!) including the wall wart powering a compression pedal. Not for certain coffee makers & a microwave oven is too much draw. But will charge multiple cell phones or run a laptop easily for days. The 200watt solar panel is great or plug it into your vehicles lighter socket while going to your destination. Do Not jump start your car with it. But hook it up to transfer power for a while, then disconnect it before trying to start the car. Overall I like the 500w & thinking to get the 1000w to run a limited PA system (mixer, amp, 2 spkrs) anywhere off grid for a party or jam session. Concert in the middle of nowhere, 👍hell yes 🤘 ... show more

  • Good value, but maybe too small
Style: 288Wh/330W
This battery does everything we bought it to do. This includes running the refrigerator during the camped hours of the weekend, charging phones and even the hand vacuum. We don't carry the solar panel for a weekend. Longer trips it pairs well with either our 60 or 120 watt panels. The 8mm charging port is Goal Zero's size, so most panels come with the correct adapter. This allows us to charge by taking the rig to the sunlight while the van stays in the shade. That's why we bought a power unit instead of just running off the van. This unit (330) does what they say and I like it from it's flat top to it's dust caps. Don't fear the brand, even if it is playing the value end of the price class. Now unless you specifically need the low end in price, size and weight, don't buy this. Once you have it you will find ways to use it that never occurred to you. It becomes your extension cord. Need a light in a corner? Grid down and you need power to your cable internet box? Need to saw a PVC drain in the back yard? Playing your keyboard/guitar for friends around the campfire this weekend? What would Tim do? MORE POWER! The 330 will run a Sawsall well enough for PVC, but trimming the fruit trees means dragging the long cord out to the orchard. It ran the camper refrigerator 2 days saving the Easter dinner food. The house refrigerator, if it will even start, would suck it dry in 14 hours. If you are not hung up on 6", 8 pounds, or $280, then go bigger. Who has said "gee, I wish I had bought the little one."? If the power isn't working by bed time you will wish you had the big battery. ... show more

  • Boondock camping made better
Style: 330W Solar Generator Kit
I can find no problems with this, except it does feel a bit like not camping with the luxury of electricity. Can't truly unplug, ever. But I've got to admit, taking my keyboard along with my acoustic guitar has changed camp fire nights to a new level! Charge it 1st time at home. The solar panels charged it from 50% to 100% within a few hours. I estimate that I can fully charge my drained laptop 6-8 times. I used to use small power packs to charge cell phone and everything else with USB outlets. I can still charge them and not have to lug this thing around every time. I extend the AC outlets with my inverter plugged into the cigarette lighter port or multiple outlet power strip with surge protector. It is estimated to give approximately 500 cycles before degradading. Fine with me. By then battery technology will be even better and cheaper. This solar generator is awesome!! ... show more
