We have been selling custom apparel for several years now and have always contracted out embroidery because the equipment was just out of our budget with all the other equipment we have and maintain. The BAi Mirror 1501 15 needle machine was at such a great pricepoint we took some money out of an investment and purchased one. A little intimidating at first, but after watching the BAi videos on youtube and learning basics, it was easy to get started. There were a few minor adjustments that needed to be made and some software that needed upgrading as well as a slew of questions about adding hoops, tension settings, and more. Chris the person at BAi that has been helping me with those questions and settings, has been great! He is very responsive and is very knowledgable about the machine and its settings. We will most certainly be purchasing the next level up multiple head system from BAi as we expand our business into the wholesale embroidery arena. Don't hesitate to purchase, the support is there, the training is there, and the machine is overall very easy to setup and use. The price of this machine is much much less than the competitors. I think it’s an excellent value. There is a lot to learn with this machine. If you’re new to embroidery or coming from a single needle machine it will take some time & patience to learn multi needle. I’m sure that’s the same with all brands. The tech support is excellent with BAi. They have technicians/engineers available by chat available almost all the time. They are very responsive, most often answering within the same day & are very encouraging. I was very surprised at how good the tech support is. It’s really personal, I talk to the same person every time & it’s been nice to have them learn what it is I want to get out of the machine. I really needed for them to be patient with me. It really means a lot to me how encouraging they have been. They even follow up with me to make sure I’m still doing ok with the machine when I don’t ask any questions for a few days. BAi has a YouTube channel that has instructional videos that are pretty good. The machine comes with a full set of tools & tool box which is nice. It also comes with a bobbin winder. That adds value not needing to buy that separately. I would recommend when you buy the machine, to also invest in a tension gauge. Setting & adjusting tension has been the most difficult part for me. It comes with a lot of different sized hoops. All the sizes you’d ever need but I would also invest in the magnetic Mighty Hoops because it makes hooping the material so much easier. If you have any troubles with your hands like carpal tunnel or arthritis, the Mighty Hoops will be worth the additional investment. Another thing to think about investing in is embroidery software. You can buy designs (and even find free designs) ready to go online, but it will be much easier with some basic software. BAi has some recommendations on software that the techs can discuss with you. I purchased Embrilliance. It’s fairly priced & you can buy that also on Amazon. You will need embroidery thread, which is not included. In my opinion, if you’re interested in a multineedle machine, this machine is a great choice. Honest review from Brent Pavey (Me) from Merced Ca. Overall 5 stars Product order: 4 stars just because I had to call chase for a major purchase. Product delivery: 5 stars, excellent care, shipping company treated box 📦 with care. Unpacking the Mirror: everything in place, checked for any shipping damages: nothing, 5 stars. Mirror physical setup: 3 stars, me being brand new into the embroidery business, it was definitely a job. Instructions are on the frame stickers to set frame up. No manual book instructions to set up embroidery machine. BAI has YouTube instructions. BAI Mirror set-up: 5 Stars, I've contacted BAI to set up machine the proper way, i didn't want any mishaps! Luke Ren contacted me via FB messenger and has reached out continuously to make sure my machine has been working properly and consistently. Giving tips and suggestions and suggested videos to watch for training. Luke Ren does live in China, so his hours are 14 plus hour difference. I been dealing with baseball product from China so I know the time zones and when to contact. It does take time to get use to! Just because patient. All said and done, i love my machine, im constantly learning and improving my skills. I've learned theirs many steps to just embroidery 1 item. Don't be afraid to ask. For A first time machine, no problems except operator (me) error. Learn everything, research what everything does, everything has a meaning!
