    • all the pieces were bent and flared at the ends
This has to be one of the worst products we have ever purchased. All the pieces were bent and yes i could send it back but if i do that then i wait 2 or three weeks to get my money back and its still a hassel. the quality is very poor and flimsely built but it will serve its purpose i have since putting it together removed the outter ring so it looks better. I advise a diffrent one for anyone looking to buy this one ... show more

    • Deeper than I expected
Ok so I caught the devil putting the outer ring around the top of the base! Metal doesn't give so I had to figure out how to push it against the wall/floor/my body to keep it in place while I tried to complete the loop and screw in the bracket. That took about 5 tries and as many breaks and a bunch of sweat lol. I bever did get the loop to complete so I had to lightly unscrew some of the other brackets, so that the partially closed circle end was concealed by one of the brackets. More fighting with the pit an I finally had it in place. This was one of the last steps so I just had to attach the parts to the lid and sit it outside. But first another break was needed and had LOL. I would highly suggest that two strong people put the ring portion together. The instructions were functional at best. I had to refer back to them several times to ensure that the part matched up with the picture. I eventually abandoned the instructions and just used my best judgement. I haven't gotten to use it as it just started to get cool here in the Mod-Atlantic. For what it's worth, the fire pit bowl is deeper than expected. I do like how the lid has a good weight and does not feel flimsy at all. It has good weight so if you can't lift heavy things or have dexterity issues, you may need someone to assist you. This pit is definitely iron/steel and solid black. I am curious how the "God Bless America" cutout on both sides will fuel or stem the fire trying to brew inside the pit or if embers will escape that way.... Stay tuned... I will update my review once it gets cold enough for gloves and a scarf. ... show more

    • Nice design but not “thick metal”
Got this backyard fire pit to use during the summer when we have company over for bonfires I like the design and look of the fire pit. The description said it was very thick, heavy metal however, that is not the case it’s fairly thin and I have recently purchased another fire pit for $35 that is of the same quality so though this is a decent fire pit for the price, I do not expect it to last very long before it rush through maybe a couple seasons at best. That being said, it was very straightforward to put together and I think as long as I keep a cover on it, it should keep it from rusting too fast. ... show more

I love the simplicity of this wood burning fire pit so much. I was looking for something without all the extras and this is it. It’s not bulky and hard to move. Toss your wood in and start the fire. EASY. And it’s nice looking too! This will get a ton of use this fall.

We recently got rid of our backyard deck and have been looking for options to add a fire pit to our outdoor living space. Instead of going through the hassle of creating one in ground from scratch, I stumbled across this fire pit and felt it would give our backyard the something a little extra. The fire pit itself is easy to assemble as it comes in a few parts and has instructions. It is pretty straight forward. The best part about it is once you have your fire wood inside and light the flame and watch it. The engraving on the metal is almost hypnotic as it provides a tranquil serenity as the fire burns and the engraved words come to life. Love it! ... show more

This fire pit was plagued with problems. I put the legs on fine but when the time came to put the outer ring on the fire pit, things went wrong. Five out of the eight holes used to mount the outer ring had to be drilled out. The wire mesh on the fire pit was attached over parts of the holes needed to screw the mounts for the ring on. That wasn't my only issue though. When I unpacked the sections from the ring the quality of this fire pit became apparent. At first I thought the sections of the ring had been damaged in shipping but they had not. The metal the ring was made from had actually rusted under the coating and made the coating start to flake off the ring. After fighting to make the ring round that was not exactly round and mounting it on the fire pit it looks ok from a distance. Up close the fire pit looks like it has already spent some time outside being used even though it has not. For the cost of this fire pit I would have at least expected it to look new out of the box. I would not recommend it. ... show more

Overall good value. Pit did indeed measure 30" as described. See photos. Was easy to install (less than 15 minutes). Not sure the heavy duty steel will last more than 2 seasons if stored outside. Upset that one screw striped really easily so giving 4 stars.
