This outer belt of this brace measures 41.5 inches in length, when it is not stretched. The size chart states Medium would be 32 to 47 inches . When in use, the belt IS to be stretched, and I think that when stretched it would reach the advertised size of 47 inches. This consists of 2 belts. The wider belt circles the body and attaches with velcro. After it is in place, the smaller white belt is to be stretched to make the belt tighter. It also is attached with velcro. The back of the belt is rubberized which helps it to stay in place with no slipping. Although there are pinholes in the belt, I would not really call it breathable, but it is comfortable and I find that the pressure it provides does help to relieve my lower back/hip pain. I wear it when standing or sitting for extended periods of time, and for my walking exercise. I do like the way it is unnoticeable when worn under the right type of clothing. ... show more

I've been wearing this every disc golf round, and it has reduced my SI joint pain by 90%. This may not be the same for you, but if you are as fortunate as I am, this is a great product. The elastic is great. I am able to simply and easily adjust it right across the SI joints. It is not so wide as other back brace belts which what I wanted. The tension adjustment lets me choose the right pressure I need for support and pain avoidance. It does get a bit warm underneath as expected. It is not uncomfortable. It is just something you tend to notice when you take it off. I also wear it if I am going to be sitting at my desk for a long time. It helps with less pain when I get up and walk. Speaking of walking, I also wear it when I walk for more than a few minutes such as when my dog takes me for a walk. ... show more

I've been having sciatica pain now for three days, and while this helps, it doesn't completely get rid of the pain. My back still occasionally cramps up, but I can move around more with this on. The velcro is strong, and the pressure portion of the belt is easy to adjust to the proper amount of pressure you are looking for. My only main complaint is this belt seems to roll up and I have to readjust it multiple times a day depending on how much I get up and down. ... show more

My pelvic brace arrived in a small, zipped plastic bag. An insert with clear, illustrated instructions was enclosed. The product is made in China. I find this item helpful. First, I weigh around 100 pounds and was concerned that it might not fit. Due to its versatile Velcro close, it fits just fine. There are two parts to the belt, both of which utilize Velcro. The longer part of the brace is placed on the body first, and the striped, shorter part is affixed after the first part is in place. It amplifies the snugness supplied by the longer belt. The lower back is an awkward area for a brace, and this one, in my opinion, seems to perform its job as well as can be done. Its design, which might seem better if it were wider, could well shift upward if that were the case, making it uncomfortably tight around the stomach. Still, wearing it immediately after eating is a bit uncomfortable. I have been wearing it while seated, and it helps when I rise from that position when the pain appears greater. It seems to mute that pain, which is otherwise present. I am happy to recommend this pelvic brace to anyone who experiences lower back pain and feels that some compression might provide relief. It does not slip or move around when in place, and it does provide the amount of desired compression by simply pulling on each individual part before pushing it into place. It is very simple to use and fits snugly underneath or on top of clothing. I have been using it on top of clothing. It seems like a small and simple thing. I got this back brace for my Significant Other since he learned from his Orthopedist that his hip pain is due to sacroiliac issues. If he neglects to wear this brace, which he wears inside his jeans, and goes out to do his farm work, he notices Big Time. Working without wearing this belt he gets big pain. He is very pleased with this brace because it stays in place all day, no matter what contortions he finds necessary to perform.
