I threw out my back to the point of needing to go to the ER because I couldn't even stand up. They said a back brace may help, so I tried this one on a whim (and a panic order). It is amazing. I'm plus size and was worried about the fit, and while I do get a little roll in the front, the back stays flat. And the inserts help with the gap in my lower back. I've only tried the metal inserts and not the plastic ones, but they definitely help with the pain and weakness I was experiencing.
