It has lots of strands like most of the silicone insulated cable does, making it very flexible. The insulation is soft enough to allow flex, but tough enough to take some abuse. Easy to strip the insulation and easy to attach MC4 connectors. I have purchased two 50 foot rolls. One just recently, one was a year or two ago. Using it for solar extension cords for use while camping. It has stood up to several weeks of camping and does get stepped on once in a while. No issues at all. We prefer to park our pop up in the shade and sometimes the distance to good sun is quite far. I now have about 90 feet of extension cord, and a 10 foot piece to connect a second solar panel. ... show more

First project with this wire was to make multiple test leads. The wire came off the spool smooth. After cutting the wire it sure looks like 100% copper. Impressed! Wire has no markings to indicate gauge or voltage ratings. Only planning to use as primary wire in a 12v setup. Have plans to run more 12v lines using this wire. High quality 12 gauge wire with fast shipping. Moderately flexible which is what I prefer for routing. Insulation separates nicely. Negligible resistance (less than 0.2 ohms for 25 feet).

They are a company of their word. When they say 100 feet they mean 100 feet of each wire, red and black. A total of 200 feet. Other companies play the game of saying 100 feet and only give you 50 feet of each wire. It's great wire. Firm yet pliable for speaker runs. I'm using for a speaker run under 10 feet so 14 AWG is just fine. I like that the wire is round rather than flattened like some. Makes it easier to strip. It's just a quality wire all around.
