These have worked out really well for our twins (1.5-yrs old at the time of writing). The plates are harder to pick up versus other designs, but they certainly can and will be picked up by precocious babies and toddlers. Aside from that, the lip of the plates make it easy for kids to pick up slippery foods that tend to lie flat and resist picking up (like banana slices). The fat handles on the utensils are also good for little fingers. The whole set cleans easily by hand or in the dishwasher. I was really hoping by reading all the reviews that I had finally found a good plate for my 14 month son who can basically pick up everything and then it usually goes flying in the air and onto the ground during dinner time. The first time I gave him food in it, he picked up the plate and turned it over... I think that they're super cute and once he gets out of the throwing stage, I'm hoping to be able to use them. They seem very sturdy and the color is so vibrant! Just not right for us at this time. ... show more

Great for a toddler with fun shapes, colors, and easy to hold. One plate fell on the floor and now it has a big crack down the middle, but we can still use it. Company may want to look into a way to make it unbreakable since it is being carried around by children.

Love these plates! They are easy to wash and can be used in the top dishwasher rack. You can even separate the borders for an even deeper clean without the worry of there being mold. The utensils are really cute and work well for kids who are starting to learn how to use utensils.

My baby is 16 months old and she flipped the plate right away and every time I serve food on the plate, she flips and throw away plate!! She loves spoons and folks though. I also wish it has dividers so the food doesn't get mixed up. Cute design though.

This can not boil in the hot water.....i am boiling baby’s all the bottles and stuff to kill the bacteria. But it changed shape when i boil it..........so wasted my money.......

This doesn’t really keep them from tipping. My 6 month olds figured out how to pick them up and toss them off almost immediately. It is nice that they come apart to clean.
