I use it without a towel and sweat a lot. I gave it four stars because I slip sometimes.     • My favorite yoga mat brand
This is my favorite yoga mat brand and I recommend it to everyone. I didn’t know about it but my yoga teacher told me it was a newer brand so I gave it a try. I’ve had two Jade yoga mats and they both wore down so much on the bottom of the mat that they eventually slid all over the place during my practice. I spend good money on them but was disappointed that they lost grip on the bottom. These B mats are amazing! There is no “break in period”. They are grippy from the beginning and I’ve had no issues with slipping. I don’t practice hot yoga so I can’t speak to how well they hold up during sweat. I practice yoga very regularly and teach it weekly. My prana mat had gotten a bit slippery after leaving it in the rain for a wash and no matter what I did, I couldn't get it to grip during sweaty sessions again (though, it was never the perfect grip to begin with). I decided to get myself a new mat as a birthday present to myself this year. I did a lot of research. An overwhelming amount. I decided to take a chance on this mat, there weren't a ton of reviews yet but everything I could find on the net, was good. THIS IS THE BEST MAT I'VE EVER TOUCHED. The grip is perfection. Even in the hottest of hot yoga class. No problems. It's still soft to the touch. It's amazingly lightweight. It's thin with just enough cushion (but if you have bad joints you'll have to either double it up or consider another mat). And the colors are beautiful too! This is my second mat as I wanted one to keep at home and one to stay in my car. I’ve used standard mats which are thinner and are often slippery. These are so comfy, sturdy, and do not slip. I do like the control on this mat for heated yoga. It does not get slippery. I do not need a sweat mat. I actually developed blisters between foot and big toe pads, the grip is so strong for more rigorous forms of yoga, like vinyasa flow. I like the fact that it is natural rubber and more sustainable than other choices. Also, the medium thickness is nice, I can't imagine lugging around the thickest mat with is quite heavy. The dust collection feature is the biggest issue. It picks up dust from the few moments walking in bare feet on the studio floor, lint from clothing, so it dirties quickly. I normally clean after each practice, so it is not a big deal except for the visual, especially in direct sunlight. Also, using spray and paper towels is not ideal, as the paper towel sticks. Wet/disinfectant wipes are the easiest clean up. The mats are quite stiff and dense, to the point that I need to be careful so as not to whap anyone in the cubbies area. It is a totally different feel from the foamy mats of the 90s and 00s. Overall, I am happy but not thrilled with the mat. ... show more

I was in the market for a yoga mat that provided a good grip for my hands and feet and this brand was suggested to me by my yoga instructor for that reason. I get sweaty, and I do not slip with this mat. I ordered the 2mm mat but debated between this thickness and the 4mm. If you are looking for a little more cushion, go with either the 4mm or 6mm mat; the 2mm doesn't offer much cushion. After the first use, I knew this was the right choice for me. I’ve been searching for a mat that could keep up with my sweaty self during yoga and this has been amazing! Easy to clean, I was nervous because some of the reviews said it picks up dust and dog hair. I have two long-haired dogs and it stays nice and clean! I am very happy with this purchase.

I love this mat! I had a yoga instructor recommend it to me because I was having issues with slipping on my other mats. This is now the only mat I use. It's grip is intense, I never slip or slide, it is thick and squishy. Only two complaints are it smells pretty chemically when you first get it. It does go away after awhile but very strong at first. And second since it's so grippy everything sticks to it. I have a dog and I cannot use my BMat at home without his hair getting ALL over it. Not and issue in studio though. If you want a soft, grippy, bad ass yoga mat, look no further! ... show more
