I've used a lot of powders for dips and only a few times have I run into this. Ignore the powder on my fingers, I didn't clean it up when I took pictures yet. I believe it's due to not providing a base powder. When you go to buff it just crumbles sometimes. Looks decent when top coat is on but definitely not as smooth as I want. Pros: price, extra tops in case they glue themselves shut, includes everything you'd need to a quick fix or beginner wanting to test it out, and the colors are great. Cons: smells a lot stronger than the name brand I usually use (no stronger than traditional polish to be fair), also dries quicker so it's hard to keep the cuticle lines clean without file damage to the cuticle. I got this kit because I love the colors. I wanted black to wear with a costume. However, I don’t recommend using the black with your first attempt at using dip powder at home. There is a huge learning curve and it looked like I dipped my fingers in tar. Definitely watch an online tutorial before trying to do this for the first time! The instructions say not to lay your finger flat on the powder, to dip at 45 degrees, but online videos and recent experience suggest just laying your fingers flat in the powder so it doesn’t get clumpy and leave the nail a lumpy mess. ... show more

This product is really good. After the first nail I was able to get the concept of dip nails pretty quickly. The orange is a little bit more neon than I thought but still very pretty! And my fragile nails feel sturdy.

This is soooo easy to use. And most of them last really well! The glitter color didn’t last but maybe 24 hours. The other colors I had on for over a week and no cracks or chips. I have very thin and brittle nails. I've tried to grow them out with strengtheners, press ons, acrylic, nail polish, etc. None of it worked for me. I'd pick it off or it's break off and take my nails with it. But after using this dip powder stuff I can finally grow my nails out without all the stress! They don't pick off easily, they look good and they're significantly cheaper than going to a salon. I'm seriously considering getting more colors from them, I'm extremely impressed. If you are second guessing on buying this, dont! Just buy this set you will love the turn out. It’s definitely a great buy. Especially if you are a beginner (like me) lol. I have never done the dip and wanted to try, so I started with the little set .Now I am going to have to buy more in other colors. Only thing is I noticed you have to put 3-4 coats. It uses a lot the the liquids. You will definitely run out of the liquids before anything. Just make sure your layers are thin or it won’t dry like it’s suppose to. -The colors are absolutely beautiful. -I love how they look two toned. -love the color change from cold to hot. ALSO: I recommend getting you a nail drill. It will make thing’s definitely easier and faster. Only took me 40 mins ( with a nail drill). ***its been a week now and they still look good.
