tattooed on a Sunday. Left bandage from shop on until that evening. Cleaned and dried my tattoo. Put this on WITHOUT lotion or ointment. Removed after 24 hours. Cleaned and air dried tattoo. Put on another piece for four more days. This is always my routine. I have never had any issues. I will not use lotion or ointment under these types of bandages. You don't want to put this on your tattoo directly without putting on some lotion or Aquaphor on your tattoo first!!! This product is absolutely necessary after getting a tattoo as it keeps in the moisture and keeps it clean. After lubing up your tattoo, put this on past your tattoo so it sticks to your skin and not the tattoo. I have a full sleeve cover up project going on and wrap my recent tattooed section before heading to work in the morning. Absolutely necessary or your tattoo will dry out, flake and itch. Took me minute to get the top film off but once I got it. It worked perfect, that is until it got wet. The film slid right off. For A product claiming to be water proof it definitely did not meet expectations. But for me personally I prefer to wash tattoos after a few hours of completion. Used twice. First time around the results were out of this world. My ink looks phenomenal five weeks later. Even if I had a complaint, the price point vs quantity is almost tenfold vs the nearest competitor. So don’t waste your money on a couple 4”x8” patches. I didn’t see a good reason in purchasing a mainstream brand when there’s no additional therapeutic benefit. You don’t want your new tattoo to scab at all. Incubate the ink and “wound” until the body’s immune response has stopped sending natural antibodies to the tattoo area (3-5 days), then remove and follow regular protocol. This helps keep the ink in place and “ooze” out. For clarification, I typically leave the tattoo shop with original/fresh ink, wait about 12 hrs, then I remove the OG wrap/bandage. Next, lightly coat new tattoo with Bacitracin + Zinc, the. apply the 2nd skin and leave it on for 3-5 days. Sometimes it doesn’t stick perfectly, primarily due to user error. Make sure the edges of the wrap are beyond your new ink and so it a stick to fresh/dry skin. If not - it will just come undone and you’ll have to repeat (don’t worry - it usually happens 1-2x). ... show more

It discolored my skin, made my tattoo and skin around it ridiculously itchy when it was on, and created a welt on my arm I needed to cut around and drain. I compared this with two big tattoo pieces on my I got on my arm within a week of each other. One of which I wore it for 5 days cleaning it every 2 and the other I wore after the first night of getting the tattoo. I experienced the worst of it on my first tat which I wore it for the 5 days. Works well enough, but be careful, it's really good at attaching to your skin, I recommend lotioning all around your tattoo where this will stick, or it's going to pull off some of your skin as well. Luckily my tattoo wasn't damaged, but I still have a faint square outline (with a border around my tattoo from where i treated it) two weeks after having it on. Maybe my skin was just sensitive to it? Idk, tattoo is healed up fine, so.... ... show more
