  • Turned on in the first try!
The media could not be loaded. This alternator is great. Saved me having to call someone to come and charge me tons of money to just look at the generator. Definitely worth the money!

  • Ordered these for my generators
As most people in the southern Gulf states, it is that time of year we are on hurricane watch!! which means it is time again to pull out the generators check fluids and make sure the are ready for anything that may hit us. I was just doing that vere same thing when I realized the filters had gotten covered with Mud Dauber nests(if you don't know what that is Google has some good pics). So I did What everyone reading this does i hoped on to amazon put in my generator number and looked for replacement filters. not the filters are just spongy material 4 by 6 inches or so. I could not believe it but some one thought they were made out of gold or platinum, as just the filter it's selling for over 20 BUCKS EACH!!!! I could not believe it, no joke over $20. In my searching for a better price I came across this replacement kit with the filter, replacement plug, replacement fuel filter, fuel line, carb and gaskets for $15 bucks for the whole kit !!! Thinking for sure i was mis reading the info I reread the info 5 or 6 times to make sure I was not missing something. I thought surely this was wrong, so I quickly ordered and paid for three, thinking it is always handy to have backup parts on hand. To my surprise I received exactly what was pictured in the add!!! the fit was exact there were extra gaskets that did not match up but i expected it was for one of the other model this was a fit for. So far all is working as expected and they fit like a glove. I hope this helps make your decision easier!!! ... show more

  • Works Great on a Generac GP7500E
Fit perfect on my Generac GP7500E generator. 4 stars instead of 5 because they didn't ship the gaskets. I had to source them elsewhere. Hit the switch and she fired right up! I only used the carburetor, fuel line & spark plug. The gas filter & air filter seem a little cheap. My generator didn't come with an inline gas filter & it would be very difficult to install because of the length of the fuel line. The air filter is not like the OEM air filter and is just a single piece of foam. Overall very worth the price though and shipping was FAST! ... show more

  • Perfect Fit for GP5500
I start my generator each year in June to prepare for hurricane season. This year it would not start. After troubleshooting it seemed the issue was bad gas and dirty carb. I disassembled the carb and replaced the fuel in the tank. The generator sounded better but still would not start. For the amount of time I spend working on this, it would have been easier to just replace the carb. I purchased this kit and replaced the carb and it started first pull. Bought a second one for a spare. ... show more

  • Worked Out of the Box
This was bought for a Generac GP6500. The old carb was leaking gasoline and even after removing the old gaskets and fashioning new ones and applying using gasket sealer, the leak stopped for a bit but the generator would not turn over. Then the leak came back. So, was looking at taking it back to the licensed repair shop (only one in the area) and paying $200+ and waiting months to get it back (as, the shop is the only one for miles and thus has a huge backlog), decided to get this kit. Well, cannot beat the price. Scraped off the old gaskets, cleaned off the sealer, and swapped out the old carb with the new. Easy to do. The new spark plug did not need gapped and the new fuel filter was a plus. The air filter was a tad smaller than the original but not a big deal. All in all, saved me a lot of time. Installation time for everything was about an hour. ... show more

  • Poor design/quality control of the float valve in PAN300 carburetor for Generac GP series
The carburetor started leaking gasoline after brief period of successful usage (but beyond the 30 day return period). The leak was caused by the float valve sticking in the OPEN position so gasoline continued flowing into (and out of) the bowl once the bowl was filled. This was not caused by fuel left in the carburetor because the motor was run dry after use by closing the petcock. It appears that the float valve is poorly designed compared to original equipment and/or poorly manufactured as it does not move smoothly in its brass sleeve. Ridges on the metal sliding valve part that make contact with the brass sleeve have a rough surface. This is the only part of the carburetor design where critical tolerances are needed for the valve to slide smoothly to open and shut in response to the float. Unfortunately PAN300 failed in this case. ... show more
