Works great. I bought this a few weeks ago and have already used it twice, successfully jumping both cars without having to recharge this device in between uses. A few years ago I bought a similar item from another brand (Weego) based on a New York Times Wirecutter review calling it the best jump starter. But I must have got a dud because it failed to jump my and other family other members' cars multiple times. So I dismissed the entire idea of a pocket sized jump starter as unreliable, and didn't bother to replace it. More recently, my 70 year old father has needed multiple jumps over the past year due to leaving his dome light on overnight. It's a pain to repeatedly drop everything to travel to him to jump the car, so I decided it couldn't hurt to give this style of jump starter another shot. I'm so glad I did, as we've already successfully jumped his car twice without recharging in between uses. (Note- He drives a Toyota Prius, so he doesn't need as much power as other cars/trucks might). One complainint though - watch out if your car requires smaller connection points. This has big, fat alegator clips that don't really fit inside the anode/cathode connector of the Prius battery. With enough effort we're able to jam them in there, but they're just resting on the medal and not really clipped on tight. I plan to get another jump starter with needle nose connectors and trade with my dad so we can both keep one in our own cars. ... show more

This thing saved my life on many occasions! My car battery was bad for a long time. And it was my first time having this issue and having to jump a car! It is very easy to use and I could probably jump my car 6-7 time before charging it. It takes no time to jump at all. Just make sure the light is on… if the light is off then it will not start but it’s an easy fit just unplug. Also never experienced any type of sparking which I was afraid of. Can use in rain, not sure if that’s common knowledge but I didn’t know that. Also is very good quality one time a guy with one two times the size didn’t jump my car… his was about $400… maybe it wasn’t fully charged but it definitely was a flex that this little this did the job over that 400$ 20lb monster box. never disappointed me had it for about 5-6 months now and used it over 20x. I have a new battery now. So I don’t use it much anymore but it’s good to have in the car just incase someone els needs a jump or to change your phone! ... show more

I got this for my husband to keep in the saddlebag of his motorcycle so that way he's not stranded with a dead battery somewhere. It works well and holds a charge and fits nicely in the saddlebag and doesn't take a whole lot of room or add too much weight. We haven't used the lights on the side nor as a phone charger so I can't speak to those aspects but it wasn't purchased for that. ... show more

I needed to winterize the jet skis. I had one afternoon to do it. Wouldn't you guess, the damn batteries wouldn't turn over. I ran in and grabbed the AVAPOW charger, hooked it up, hit the starter button on the jet ski and the machine turned over like it was on steroids and then fired right up! Great size, great power.
