  • Versatile sprayer for various projects
This paint sprayer is far easier to use than the corded one it replaced. I mixed up Milwaukee and Makita again when ordering this, but a battery adapter worked great so I could use my off-brand Makita-compatible lithium batteries. Together they're much lighter than the old batteries so this is easier to use despite the weight of the paint. The light is more helpful for showing “painter's holidays" compared to shinier fresh paint rather than lighting the area. I'd ruined the sprayer of an automotive HVLP paint gun with water years ago, so I'd only use cleaning solution specific to the paint sprayed. If the tiniest drop off paint dries in the nozzle, it messes up the spray pattern on future projects. It's still easier to clean and reuse than the sprayers with a hose going into a separate container of paint. I've personally never had much luck keeping those unclogged for more than a few uses, so I'd say this smaller set is a better value. ... show more

  • Adapter runs this on other major tool brand's batteries
Works as well as my corded one, but no cord. Battery powered. Which is necessary some places and just plain safer in others. I wanted a cordless paint sprayer partially because an outlet isn't always available, but mostly because I very much dislike climbing 2-story extension ladders with extension-corded tools. Tying them before plugging them together isn't so great for cords, especially since the reason for tying them is that they'll get pulled apart if I don't, which means 100% my cords will be pulled and probably kinked. I like my cords with their original ends on them. So, I ordered this particular sprayer because the price was right. (Vine Voice free product for honest review. Thank you to the seller, and, so you know, I have nothing bad to say. Your paint sprayer works great. I guess you already knew that, though, so I suppose there's no news here for you, really. ) Anyhow... This paint sprayer works with Milwaukee batteries. Looks very Milwaukee, too. Only thing is - I don't have any Milwaukee cordless tools. Not that they aren't great tools. People just get stuck on brands because batteries .. . Well.. Because. Batteries. And I didn't have batteries or a charger for Milwaukee I have mostly Makita and couple Ryobi, both with big heavy batteries. My mother has Black and Decker, which I've been known to (abuse) use the batteries of for many other things. Since I've bought her so many extra B&D 20 volt batteries, and they're a lot lighter than my Makitas, I bought an adapter (adaptater) to convert the lightweight 20 volt Black and Decker batteries to 18v and physically bridge the gap to this tool. If you ever find a great deal on a "made for" not-your-tool-brand tool, you can likely find a converter/adapter to get you there. I've run my Makitas on B&D plenty of times. This paint sprayer works great on that set-up. In fact, I've had excellent luck with every knock-off cheapie I've snatched up on sale, too. Not a single problem. The mini chain saw "for Makita" is handy as h-e-double hockey sticks... But, I digress: If you're new to paint sprayers, have a bucket already half full of water to drop the painty part into when you're done so you can skip the newbie mistake of letting it sit until it's too hard or impossible to clean and you find yourself having invested good money in a disposable, single-use tool. It was California mid-summer 100+ degrees in the shade approaching noon, when I shouldn't have been painting, anyway, and I learned the sucky and costly way. A simple bucket of water standing by and no matter what happens to distract me or what emergency arises after I start spraying, I can plop the paint section of the sprayer into that water bucket and I get to use this thing over and over and over again. If you have bad vision, like I do, I suggest pairing the needle valves with their tips and putting those pairs into little baggies clearly marked with the size, and with the tip color so they easily get back in the right bag. Saves time later looking for a good magnifying phone app or a second pair of reading glasses to double-up. Filtering paint? Really necessary? 100% Yes. Always. Twice. Thrice. If I had to choose 50 times or none, I'd be building a filtering machine to automate it because there is no point in trying to spray unfiltered paint. I know lots of information and instruction says to not thin house paint. I do add a little water to really thick latex house paint because every sprayer except our professional Graco airless that I have ever used could only feebly spit out a lame and intermittent raspberry of thick latex paint, especially in cooler weather. In my opinion, a little water mixed in house paint sprays out nicer, in the 1st coat especially it fills any gaps missed during prep and deep textures better, and gives your back-roller, if you have someone doing it, something much easier to roll out evenly. I do 2 coats, regardless, so any loss of coverage is offset by readiness for the second coat in less time, and with someone rolling it out behind you it can mean 2 coats today and done. After (sometimes days of) prep, it just feels nice to paint the whole place with two coats in 1 day. Looks good, too. It'll take a little longer with this type sprayer than with a pro Graco, of course. You get what you pay for, right? But I'll tell you this: That $1000 difference in price and all that professional appeal still aren't going to get me to fill 25 feet of hose with $50 a gallon paint for just a room or two. I'd rather use a brush and make it a meditation. I'm almost retired. I work on my own properties. These small sprayers get way more use, now. Easier to clean up, too. Heck, by comparison they almost clean themselves. Well, as long as I have that bucket of water ready. ... show more

  • Good tool but should be provided with a battery
I’ve been using this cordless paint sprayer for a few projects, and while it has its strengths, there are some issues as well. The automatic spraying feature is time-saver. It’s much faster than using a brush or roller, and the 3-gear adjustable flow rate makes it easy to control the paint output. The brushless motor is another highlight—it’s powerful and handles high-viscosity paints well, ensuring smooth and consistent results. However, there are a few drawbacks. The fact that it’s tool-only without a battery is frustrating if you don’t already own a compatible Milwaukee M18 battery. The sprayer’s weight also becomes noticeable after extended use, especially when the 1200 ml container is full. Additionally, while the top-loading design is convenient, securing the lid properly can be tricky, and I had minor paint spills during my first use. ... show more

  • Nice not having a cord!
I've never used a cordless paint sprayer before, and now I don't ever wanna go back! It does need an 18v battery, so be prepared to get one of those before using it. The paint came out nice and evenly, and it was easy to use. This is a must-have tool for anyone that paints large pieces of furniture for a living or as a hobby. ... show more

  • Great for infrequent, or one time project use.
This little gun is a great "one off", or infrequently used item. For the price, it simply cannot be beat. However - if you are a professional, you already know that this price point isn't going to get you much. Overall the product is cheap, and poorly built. But it does work, and works pretty well given the quality of the build. It includes 3 nozzles, and they looked different than my Wagner tips - not sure if you can easily replace them or not. Also, it has a top filling hatch, which I actually like a lot. But it has a really poor design on the latch, so make sure it actually closed. You do not want to let this gun build up with excess paint residue - it will make it impossible to adjust or use. The design is not the best for cleaning. A ton of pockets, cracks and gaps that pack off with paint. Storage and cleaning is a little unique - this gun comes apart at the trigger portion - allowing two major halves of the gun to be stored easily. The paint pot can be tossed into a sink and washed out - which I appreciate. Even though the light is a very cool feature - it was not well thought out. Maybe if you are using this outside, or in a well ventilated area, it wouldn't be an issue. If you are painting the inside of a closet, bring a wet rag to clean it up right away. Overall, this gun is not a great find. But the price is cheap enough to purchase for a job, and use it once or twice. ... show more
