I was apprehensive at first about applying this myself, and if you have an extra person, it is very easy. The vent comes with 3M double sided tape, which is very sticky, so make sure you read the instructions on how to install first. If you follow the instructions, you will not have any problems on installation. Product arrived via UPS, in good order. Box is large and cumbersome, however the product is well protected. Adds a very sleek and stylish look to my truck. *As note, ensure the area you are applying this too is free of dirt/grime, and if you have recently polished your vehicle, you may need to purchase the 3M prep cleaner prior to applying the vent. ... show more

Good product. Looks great on the truck. It's made of flexible plastic so don't worry about it breaking. I have an aftermarket grille so I had to do some reshaping with a file. And to those of you worried about any damage from the adhesive remember all your car emblems are attached the same way. Install is definitely easier with 2 people. ... show more

Sucks, a regrettable purchase. Not impressed with the quality of this AVS product. I've purchased numerous window shades and bugshields, but this my first bad experience. This has been on my F150 less than 2years, it first came loose after over a year and I put some Gorilla Glue and it stuck back in place. A couple months later It came loose again but this time it broke in half and luckily I found it in the neighbors yard after a storm so I could try to fix it.. we get a lot of wind here, but I never had this problem with the "bolt on" models but because of the shape of the hood of this Ford, I opted for the adhesive design. I went to several stores looking for a comparable tape to reattach but I ended up with thinner, yet wider tape than original, so I had to double it up so it would be close to the same height as the piece that was still attached to my truck. AVS Window visors that I have stuck on my vehicles have held up under some extreme conditions here and never broke, except from severe hail storms, they're very durable, but this item, I'm not so impressed. There is a bolt - on model available for this truck, but I'm not thrilled with how it looks. I hope this repair will last and that the other side doesn't come off I advise using a wider tape upon initial install allowing more adhesive surface and it will probably stay in place ... show more

The ends on both right and left sides have came loose, the whole middle area is still bonded strong. i have had a lot of compliments in a years time but now i will have to point out the ends and say beware. ... show more

Overall I really do like the shield. What I don't like is the adhesive promoter that came with the product. I followed the directions to the letter, and after prepping the surface with the alcohol pads, it tells you to use the adhesive promoter. It looks like the promoter destroyed the paint. I tried using alcohol, goo gone, and a few other cleaners after the promoter to restore the paint, but no luck. The paint looks streaked and foggy and completely ruined. Luckily I spread it exactly where the shield goes, and with the shield on you can't see it. However, i'll never want to remove the sheild because the paint really does look that bad, I should have taken a picture before attaching the shield. Again, the shield itself is great. Amazing for the price. Looks great, is cut perfect, and easy to install. The 3m tape is very wide and the shield is firmly attached and isn't going anywhere. I just hope when this one fades, scratches, and wears out, I'll be able to buy a replacement to hide the mess it made to my paint. If not for the adhesive promoter I would have gladly given this a 5 star. If I would have read any type of warning about the dangers to the paint then I would have simply used the alcohol pads and nothing more. ... show more
