Ok, so the first two times I used this, it got pretty warm, but not at all hot (the steam wasn't even hot coming out of the steam box). It finally started reaching a good temperature after the third use. There is also an issue with the leg holes. Leg holes, you say? Yes, those are NOT arm holes, but they are in fact LEG holes. I'm not kidding. The instruction booklet literally has a picture of someone inside, and then a second person on the outside with their legs in the holes to get a good steam on their shins. While I got a good laugh out of this, the reality is, those leg holes need to be completely closed, or else the steam will escape, and it won't get hot enough inside the tent. I had to cinche them closed, and then wrapped the excess string around it and tied it completely shut. I have Lyme, and bought this as part of my detox regimen. I wanted an infrared sauna, but the real ones are a bit too expensive for me, and the cheap ones catch fire! I feel much safer with the technology in this basic steam sauna, and the price is great for the use I'm getting out of it. My skin is looking GREAT, and I can tell I'm sweating a lot of stuff out of my pores. With my Lyme, though, I just have to be careful how long I stay in. While I may only feel mildly uncomfortable, if I stay too long, the moment I get out and the air hits my body, I feel like I might pass out. So those with health conditions, definitely be careful! 20 minutes is good if you can make it that long; I think that's my sweet spot. I can fold it in half to move it from one room to another, but I can't manage to fold it back up to its "travel" size (I'm worried about getting too rough with it and breaking it). But it is very easy to set up, only takes a few minutes. I don't have a lot of space in my home, so it's convenient to be able to put it up and take it down so easily. I hope I can get a lot of use out of this thing, as I plan to use it almost every day for at least a few months. The company responded to my message about it not heating up in the beginning very quickly. ... show more

I used this steam pot in my Hot Yoga Dome and it really helps raise the temperature as well as keeping it nicely humid inside. I have no use for the various temperature settings, I start it out at 9 then lower to 1 once my dome has at least 50% humidity then I set it at 1 and leave it. At these settings the steam pot uses about 1/2 gallong for approximately 90 minutes. Very simple to operate. I've used it multiple times with no issues, it heats quickly and puts off a lot of steam. I took off one star because I can't set the timer any longer than 60 minutes which is a little annoying but other than that no complaints. ... show more

For the price, this is great! I'm 6'1" and 255 lbs and fit comfortably inside, sitting on a small stool. I can also forego the stool and sit comfortably, cross legged inside. Heats up very quickly if you put already hot water in the unit. My 2 complaints are where the steam comes into the side can get very very hot blowing against my left leg. I've been bringing an additional stool into the tent to block my leg from the direct stream. I think I'll also try using the herbal box to redirect the steam stream and see if that helps. Also it is pretty difficult to get it to fold back into the travel bag. I just fold it flat and store it against the wall. Overall I'm very happy with the personal sauna and would recommend it to anyone. Pros: Cheap, portable, gets hot, spacious Cons: Steam will hurt if blows directly on you, is difficult to fully collapse back into travel bag. ... show more

I have a medical condition that leaves me very stiff and in pain most days. I don't know the next time I will feel safe in a public steam room or sauna. This pop-up steam sauna takes up about 10 square feet, and I find it easy to operate. I use a comfortable pop-up canvas chair and keep a bath mat in the bottom to absorb pooling water. It's not very fancy, and I feel very strange looking with my head sticking up out of this unit. However, it heats up quickly, is comfortable enough, and it does the job. With my gym closed and no access to a sauna or steam room, I finally made the decision to purchase this and I'm glad I did! The tent itself is well constructed - the seams are taped and finished - including the floor mat. The floor mat itself is a lightweight vinyl/rubber material and cleans easily. A word (or two) of caution: If you've ever been burned by steam, you know how quickly and painfully it can happen. AW does a good job of labeling those items which can get hot, and you should definitely be extra cautious when handling anything that could be hot. Set-up is easy thanks to the flexible steel frame. My only complaint is that I wish this was bigger (and included a chair/stool). This is an awesome steam tent for the money! ... show more

I was ready to return this item until realized that it takes little bit of pressure to secure the steamer. Gave it a 4 star because it is difficult to fold back into the carrier bag. It does take a few minutes to warm up but once it gets going, it gets hottt. I used a small step up ladder to sit on, wish it was bigger. Besides that, works well. ... show more
