I bought this as a safe for my bedside. Easy to set codes and fingerprints. My son purchased one after seeing mine! My only negative is the mounting bracket. Once mounted the bracket is elevated a few inches above the safe. My husband cut it off as it has no purpose. There are pictures of this in the description. I will say a subcompact handgun gets lost in it and isn’t convenient for grabbing in an emergency. It fits a 9mm, .380 and .45’s nicely. All in all, great little safe! ... show more

This gun safe seems to be the perfect size for what we need it for. Fits nice on the bedside which is perfect for quick access if needed. Upon receiving the item I encountered an issue with it opening. Turned out to be an issue with the padding. I had to cut out the space around the latch. Once I did that I have had no issues. Item is built well. Battery holder/compartment and wire soldering is a bit janky/ cheaply produced; i Anticipate this being a potential failure point over time in exchanging the batteries. ... show more

The biometric fingerprint scanner works great so far the way the safe mounts to the bracket is not the strongest I used adhesive weatherstripping on the side with the bracket and that helped steady the safe, I am very happy with this product at this time

While the safe opens fairly reliably - though sometimes it cannot read my fingerprint, it has a very weak mounting system that could be easily pried off whatever it is mounted to with a screwdriver. The tabs on the mounting plate should be longer and sturdier. Even if you screw in the mounting plate with 8 screws, the plate will be fixed in place securely *BUT* the safe could be removed without too much effort. This is not a very robust design. I modified mine by drilling mounting holes through one side wall then used self-tapping screws to mount to the inside of my desk. It is much more secure than using the mounting plate. ... show more

Upon mounting the finger print scanner stopped working. After inspection noticed the wire was up against mounting opening and tore wire. Everything was working fine until than. Will update review when replacement arrives.
