  • If you own ATOTO S8 (Gen2), and it comes with virtual surround view feature, we highly recommend ATOTO AC-HD03LR camera instead.
  • It does not work on the ATOTO A6Y Series Android car stereo or SA102 Starter. Besides, S8 models manufactured before Jan. 2021 (also known as S8 Gen 1) can support AC-HD02LR, but the system firmware update is required before the LRV feature can work properly. IMPORTANT: NOT compatible with ATOTO P8 series.

No issues. I was worried there wasn't going to be enough wire length since it went into a Dodge Ram quad cab long box but there was enough with about 8-10 inches to spare. Image quality is actually better than the wife's 2019 Yukon Denali.

ATOTO F7 XE Head Unit Receiver And this backup camera does not work in reverse. It only works in live view when activated in the radio. Not what I expected. No matter how we changed the wiring it only works this way!

Simple wiring and good mounting options made this simple and far better than I expected. The night vision on this camera is impressive! I have a long driveway with a bit of a hill, now I don’t worry my kids or their bikes might be in the way. Support is amazing, any questions I had they answered right away and were super friendly. I had reservations about buying such a low cost unit… not anymore….     • 12v and trigger wires were reversed, bulky connectors
I'm giving this backup camera 3 stars due to several issues I encountered during installation and use. Firstly, the labels taped to the wiring harness were incorrect, leading to an issue where the reverse lights lit up as soon as the car was turned on. This was due to the accessory 12V line sending power to the reverse light circuit, rather than the reverse light circuit sending power to the head unit as a trigger signal. It took some troubleshooting with a multimeter to resolve this. Additionally, the tilt adjustment screws on the unit tend to loosen due to vibrations while driving, necessitating the application of threadlocker to maintain the desired camera angle. The camera also comes with a bulky wiring harness that uses RCA and barrel power connectors. To avoid drilling an unnecessarily large hole in the trunk for the wires, I found it necessary to strip, cut, and splice the wires for a cleaner installation. Once you strip away the insulation, the wires themselves are only about 24 gauge thick each. While someone with experience in DC electrical work might find the installation manageable, I would not recommend this camera if you are new to car electronics or for those planning to hire a professional installer. You may end up paying significantly more for diagnostic labor if installation issues arise. The provided manual is not very helpful as it is written in poor English. Overall, this device from a generic manufacturer functions adequately once you resolve the initial complications. However, do not expect the level of quality control you might find with car audio name brands like Kenwood, Alpine, or Pioneer. There’s a reason they sell their cameras for at least 5x the price. ... show more

    • Must have if you have an ATOTO brand stereo.
Install was super simple. Probably the hardest part was wiring everything so it’s hidden from plain sight. It’s 720p but you can still tell what everything is. Keep in mind that it runs at 30FPS, which isn’t a dealbreaker. As a parking assistant, this thing is enough!

my car which had no backup camera is now easier to backup with the backup camera so i ordred 2 of these for 2 of my cars
