Im 520lbs. I have bought many shower stools .not only for the shower but to carry with me to have a seat in lines or when i need to catch my breath in public instead of using a rolling walker. Thry all advertized 500 or 550 capacity. Ive tried $25 ones $50 an $90 but the quality was TOTALLY not there. This one was a big splurge an leap of faith. I HOPED the higher price point would ensure quality and it would last longer and boy it has not disappointed!! The rubber grips on the legs is really thick an nice quality. I expected them to hold up.you can tell just by touching them they wpukd and they have. The metal of the legs is thick an solid...well they are hollow lol but FEEL strong an solid compared to cheaper models. There was no complicated support system to screw into place with nuts and slippery beveled washers either like all other cheaper models ive purchased . you just click the legs into place and adjust leg height as desired. Easy peasy. Took literally 22 seconds. The seat is blue as shown an wide. I appreciate it's designed for a truly big butts lol i was leary about the material initially but im updating this review 6 months later and i was so wrong! Seat material is excellent. It feels flimdy but uts really not. I hate the insert. it falls out all the time.i zip tied it in place. Also i personally dont like the nonslip stuff attached to the seat. I envision it not staying over time or looking gross after sum uses. Its kinda discolored but not a huge deal. Id have preferred to not have it attached tho. Over all 5 stars cuz of the quality. Didn't really think there is much difference in shower seats, but I was wrong. This is superb. I was worried I would stick to the padding, or maybe it would be too slippery. Neither was true, and it adds such a nice cushion between me and the seat. I had never had one that was a bit bigger with the slide out middle - I didn't know what I was missing. It really does make things so much easier, especially as someone with limited motion and reach. And it is so sturdy, the seat does not wiggle or move at all. I love this. ... show more

This is working very well. Easily supports 400lbs and the cover thing provides good traction (for your backside) and does made the seat warm. Only drawback is it needs more height options...wish it could be made shorter that it's existing shortest level.

Oh why did I wait so long? Well, one reason was I had to save up the money, but wish I would have spent the money sooner. I have had three shower chairs before this and having mobility issues and severe pain made showering a scary experience. After reading the review of the one who weighed over 500 lbs, I took the risk that the description matched the reality. Rising from my other stools was almost impossible and frightening. This one is sturdy. And because you have a good number of height positions, I didn't need to rely on my grab bars as much. The only thing I would change is the width of the seat. My 300 lbs. was wider than the seat and probably would be uncomfortable for those much bigger. Hey family, you'll be glad to know I'll be showering more! ... show more

The both/shower chair arrived in excellent shape. I dreaded putting it together as I wasn't feeling well and I have issues with my dominant hand. Upon opening the box I discovered two bags, one with the seat and one with the four legs, plus simple, well done instructions both written and in pictures. I easily attached the legs and it was ready to go. I really like that the molded seat underneath looks fairly smooth & like it will be easy to clean; many chairs have the seat bottom covered in ridges that hold soap/shampoo product in their crevasses and are difficult to keep sanitary. The soft cushioned seat top looks comfy. If there was one thing I would change, it would be that the seat insert was attached a bit more snug so that it didn't so easily dislodged while moving the chair. On the other hand, I won't have any issues removing it as needed. Overall, I'm very happy with it and can't wait to try it. ... show more

This did not work for me. The seat is hard and uncomfortable, the cushion on top is useless. The only thing is does is harbor bacteria and foul odors. The insert it a fine idea but in practice the gap swallows and pinches my thighs and hurts like hell. Not big girl approved and I can’t return.
