  • USAGE: Its rugged three-strand construction is fabricated to acclimate with some of the most demanding environments. This all natural rope is versatile, it can be looped, spliced, or cut for all of your project needs. It is an adaptable rope that is perfect for everybody from construction workers to the DIY weekend warrior.
  • OIL TREATMENT: This rope is treated with cordage oil that is applied to the fibers during production. This as well gives the natural rope a darker tone which can be more appealing to the eye in many uses. In addition, this oil acts as a preservative for outdoor usage. When first receiving your Manila Rope, it is to be expected that there may be a natural oil smell arising from it. It should dissipate over time.
  • DOS & DONTS: When cutting the rope we suggest wrapping a 2 inch long section of the rope, where you are going to cut, with either masking or electrical tape. This is due to the ropes tendency to untwist when being cut. Because of the nature of this rope being treated with oil, it is not pet friendly if an animal comes in contact with it. When your project is completed, we advise you to store the rope in a dry room with proper ventilation.
  • VARIOUS SIZE: Choose between lengths of 50 feet, 100 feet, 300 feet, 600 feet, or 1,200 feet. ATERET Manila Rope diameter thickness options: 1/4 inch, 5/16 inch, 3/8 inch, 1/2 inch,3/4 inch, 1 inch, 1 1/4 inch, 1 1/2 inch and 2 inch. Contact us if you need any custom size/length.

I bought a round pressure treated post 6" diameter and 8 ft long (Tractor Supply), wrapped it with this rope... the cats love it. It is an all natural rope. Do not use indoors, it makes an unholy mess. I used up less than half of the rope, so plenty spare when the cats eventually destroy this scratch post. The seller of this product was great. The shipment came quickly, and was exactly the size and color I asked for. The rope is considerably more frayed, and not as consistent in size as some similar products. I was wrapping my porch posts and ended up trimming many frayed pieces off.

We wound this around a wood column in our home and the cats have an almost indecent relationship with it. You know that flat-eared, wild-eyed, paws spread, claws out, bizarrely dilated pupil kind of other worldly mental state cats get into when frenzied? Yeah. That happens a lot. I use this for a homemade cat tree. It works great and it is a great value per foot. I find that this holds up much better than sisal rope and lasts longer.
