The media could not be loaded. This is a purchase I did not regret. Everyone on the internet seems to be raving about the OLED version of this gem, but they seem to be just specs fanboys. I wasn’t able to find a review for the HD LCD variant, but based on my research, I took the risk and I was not disappointed. Design This laptop is sexy as heck, with a matte finish and sleek design. It’s thin but very sturdy and classy. The backlit keys have a nice travel feel. And surprisingly this thing has facial recognition that works with or without my glasses. *SHOCKING* The HD screen is very bright and displays amazing colors. The trackpad is very large and nicely built. My only complaint is that this thing is a fingerprint magnet so not recommended for criminals, however, I get if you want something personalised then what is better than a laptop that carries around your DNA? If this computer lasts for a few years, it will go down as one of my best purchases. Performance At first, the laptop ran a bit hot on the first boot, but after a BIOS update using the ASUS built-in apps, it was quite simple to fix. Afterward, the laptop was silent as a lamb while using, except for the beautiful sound of the keystrokes. The fan is extremely quiet and, even under heavy load, it’s manageable. The battery life is amazing for productivity and charges very quickly. The CPU and RAM handle any tasks thrown at it thus far. I will try to test it for gaming. This laptop is not perfect, but I don't have a lot of bad things to say about it. The OLED screen is beautiful and the battery life lasts about 8 hours. The battery doesn't last as long as a Macbook, but it's still pretty decent for a Windows machine. I love the ceramic coating on the exterior. I also love how thin the laptop is. The price is not bad considering the fact that it has 32gb of RAM and a 1TB SSD. Although the RAM is not upgradeable, that's very understandable given the laptop's thin design, which is why I appreciate the 32gb of RAM that is built in. The APU inside the laptop is pretty decent when considering the fact that it is not a discrete GPU and the laptop is not designed for gaming anyways. You should be able to play almost any game on the lowest settings. Overall, the laptop mostly delivers what is advertised. You will enjoy it as long as you don't expect perfection. ... show more

My Zenbook 15 is a fantastic addition to our household. It's sleek, lightweight, and quiet, making it perfect for both work and play. As a third laptop owner, I'm impressed with its value for money. The screen is bright enough for indoor use, and I haven't heard a single noise from the vent, even under load. While it's not a gaming powerhouse, it handles most tasks with ease.     • Problem with laptop not turning on after going to sleep/hybernation mode !!!!!

This is my very first review. I purchased this laptop with high expectations, and for the most part, I was not disappointed. The biggest issue I had was that after a certain time, the laptop refused to start after being in sleep mode, possibly hibernation mode. I have contacted Asus, and they were unsuccessful in resolving the issue and suggested sending it in for servicing. The only issue with that is that I use my laptop every day for my business. Having to go through all that hassle on a brand-new laptop is ridiculous. I spent hours transferring all my files and software just to have this issue. The only temporary solution around this is to hold the power button for more than 15 seconds to restart the computer. I can't imagine if someone had something really important that they didn't save and had to reset their computer and lose all that work. I am returning the laptop for a full refund after only using it for a week and a half. Buyers beware. Ps . I have seen other comments having this same issue. I hope Asus finds a real solution with this product because if it were not for that, I would probably still be using this laptop. ... show more

    • Sleep Hibernation Issues + Other Glitches

I've been an ASUS user for over a decade now and always stood by the quality of their products. Now, I just feel embarrassed. I bought the 2023 Oled 15.6" model as a sort of treat to myself. It's a good laptop, but for the amount I spent on it, I'm extremely disappointed in Asus. As another reviewer mentioned, I started having issues with waking my laptop from sleep almost immediately. Talking to Asus support did nothing, but a random reddit thread did help resolve my issue (lol). It's simple, so I'll post it at the bottom for anyone who needs it. I've also started to notice other weird glitches where it says that my power cable isn't connected/charging when it should be. Or flickering menu scrolls. I'm going to send this back to ASUS. I'm hoping that my unit is just faulty and a replacement laptop will fix everything, but realistically I'm probably just going to have to go with another brand. (sleep glitch fix) "Press Windows key + X. Choose Windows Power Shell (Admin). Type “powercfg.exe /hibernate off” without quotes. Press Enter. Type “powercfg.exe /hibernate on” without quotes. Press Enter. Restart computer and then try to put it to sleep and wake it up. This somehow flushes the sleep settings and gets everything working normally again. " ... show more
