  • Excellent hardware, good quality, horrible bloatware!
CPU: RTX4050
The hardware specs on this are truly outstanding for the price. The screen looks great, keyboard and trackpad feel are nice, and it has enough ports and cooling to do everything well. My one complaint is that this came pre-loaded with gobs of bloatware. Not even kidding it had 4 different antivirus programs and 5 web browsers installed, along with a bunch of other Acer-specific garbage software that is useless. On first bootup the machine feels incredibly slow since all of this pre-installed software loads and pops up continuously, it feels unusable. After I spent a couple hours removing and uninstalling all of it, then getting all the Windows updates completed, it runs like a dream. Gaming is absolutely fantastic on this, at highest settings it still runs great. Just be prepared to invest the time removing the terrible software they attempt to force-feed you, and you’ll be happy. ... show more

  • My 13 year old gamer loves it!
CPU: RTX4050
Purchased for my son’s 13th birthday. The Acer Nitro V gaming laptop has exceeded his expectations! The graphics are impressive, and games run smoothly even on higher settings. The cooling system works well and keeps the laptop from overheating, even during longer sessions. The display is bright and clear, and the 144Hz refresh rate makes gameplay super smooth. The build is sturdy and has a sleek, gamer-friendly design. Battery life isn’t the longest, but that’s expected for a gaming laptop. For this price point, it’s an excellent choice for gamers who want solid performance without breaking the bank. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Great for upgrade
CPU: RTX4050
Two physical ram slots, two m2 storage slots. It's the perfect laptop for those who want to upgrade. Intel i5 cpu is very decent as well as the rtx4050 GPU. I wish sound quality was a little better but overall it's very good laptop. Most powerful gaming laptop tend to be big, bulky and heavy. The power brick is not too heavy. Very balanced performance, size and still very portable. I'd recommend it. ... show more

  • Great Starter Gaming PC
CPU: RTX4050
Got this for my son to be his first gaming PC. The build quality feels pretty good and it looks cool too (which is important). Lid opens nicely. Nice screen. 4000 series graphics so overall it's a good quality gaming laptop BUT 8GB is laughable in terms of RAM, especially for a gaming PC. However, I confirmed before purchase that it could be expanded so that's what I planned to do. Initially it does feel slow and the fan runs a lot even just trying to do basic stuff. The upgraded RAM is not expensive (I got the 2x16GB Crucial part# CT2K16G56C46S5 for ~$80) and was easy to install - you don't have to be a PC builder. Totally different PC now with 32GB of RAM!! ... show more

  • Nice Computer
CPU: RTX4050
Computer itself is really good and fast. The only thing that slows it down is MS Windows as you know. I have used windows from the start. I used Windows XP right up to 2020, when Internet Security protocols stopped their support, XP was the best, and Windows 7 was the last best. After Windows 7 MS windows went down hill. If Apple would have more user friendly programs, or Apps as they are called nowadays, a lot more people would be switching over. As well as the open software platforms such as Linux, etc. But MS pretty much had a monopoly on the OS being sold on new computer sales and that is how they got so big so fast, and why people did not have too much of a choice, and therefore got used to using the MS windows OS. As you probably know, all the trouble came from the windows updates, anything and everything that could go wrong came from the updates. That is why I was able to use my Windows XP until 2020, I never did updates. You are probably thinking then why am I buying this computer as MS now forces updates to go through on all newer computers with their OS on it, as they want to keep control of everything that you do now and want to know everything that you are searching for. Well I got so used to using windows. I like the interface interaction, and now I have to do a lot of manipulating to get the files and such working as older versions. But, once you do, it gets better. Of course I disable updates and Edge. So after a little tweaking this computer works well, although not like MS intended it to work. And one feature of all windows, which I think is the best, (MS will probably do something to it after I post this review) is the backwards compatibility feature. With this feature you can load an older version of Software or an old Game and it will work on the newer computer. As an example I am using Software Programs that are close to twenty years old and Games that are sixteen years old. ... show more
