I have a slow leak in my left-rear tire and I cannot seem to find the screw or nail that I must have run over. This little unit not only tops-off my tires well, but if I go a few days without using the car, it also pumps it up from dead flat without a problem. It is much less expensive than the so-called "heavy duty" units I say at the auto parts store. After having tried a few of those, this was definitely the right choice! It comes with a couple of sports-type fittings that I haven't used, but at least they are there if I ever need them. My main focus right now is car tires, and it does those well! ... show more

    • Great Pump for High Pressure Tires

I had just purchased a new F250 Ford and needed to add air to the tires when I found out that my old cigarette lighter tire pump just wasn't going to do the job. I purchased this pump to handle the higher pressures (~60-65 PSI). This pump utilizes two methods for power; cigarette lighter for lower pressure tires (ex. normal car tires) and a direct clamp connection to the battery for higher pressure tires like I have (above about 40 PSI +/-). This pump does fill the tires much more rapidly compared to my older pump and has sufficiently long leads to connect to the battery and the hose to the tire. I was able, on my truck, to connect this pump to the battery and to reach the rear tires without a problem. I have taken one star off of the review due to the spiral coiled air hose. While this hose will reach the tire when the power cord is at full extension, the problem is that the spiral tries to retract on itself and will pull over the pump or pull against its connection to the tire. It is workable but requires you to be creative in positioning the pump so it will not tip. This pump was able to fill all four of my tires to 60 or 65 PSI (from 50 PSI) in about 10 minutes. The gauge seems to be close although I get about a 4 PSI difference against a pocket tire gauge. Auto shut off works very well. It is a large pump that comes with a storage bag and requires a larger space to store in your vehicle. It will not fit in a center console or under seats. ... show more

So far I have only tested it and it works just fine. Set the desired pressure and hit start. It shuts off at pressure. Also gives pressure reading if you just want to know and your instrument panel doesn't offer that feature. More cumbersome than a plain old gaugue, but probably more accurate. Hopefully it will last a while. Been on two trips (separated by a few months) and on BOTH trips, my truck decided to alert me of low pressure in a tire. So I finally got this thing. Now that I have it, I am sure I won't need it! LOL. Will edit later if needed. ... show more

I liked the tire easy on and off. Power is good for me. It's no more noisy than any other air pump. Size is good. I think they re-did the bag it fits in. Mine fits easily into it. It seems to be fairly fast and accurate. The only complaint I have is the piston housing gets very hot very fast. Need to wait before putting it away. It might, might set something afire. It gets hot enough to burn something or someone very quickly. Please be careful about that. I'm satisfied with this. Hope it lasts a long time. ... show more

Starts up right away. And easy to understand instructions. I just don’t see why the power button says “M”. I guess for memory, but it actually turns the power off also. My only complaints are that there is no place to store the spare fuse. I see where you store the other small items, but really no place for a fuse to store. Even a side pocket would be nice for it. Also the bag is really tight to fit the AstroAI into. A little more room please? So it’s the bag I have issues with, but not the pump itself. The pump can be a little noisy, but that just tells me that it’s working and can handle what I need it for. So it has the power so worth the money. And the yellow color is great so it’s easy to spot. A yellow bag would be better than the black. Just because it would be easier to see. So over all a good solid 5 STAR for the pump itself. However the bag is only a 3 STAR. The only reason why I gave the bag 3 and not an 2 is because it looks and feels quite water resistant and a little heavier than a typical cheap fabric and the clips are not cheap either. So I expect it to last a little longer than the cheap crap you get from a generic set. So there’s that. ... show more
